In 2008, my business partner and I embarked on a journey into uncharted territory despite the warnings from others. At Backyard Bookkeeper, my personal mission has always been clear: to empower small businesses with accurate financials and create employment opportunities for stay-at-home parents.

At Backyard Bookkeeper, we thrive on problem-solving. We take joy in ensuring that every expense is meticulously accounted for and that all accounts are reconciled to the last penny. As we grew, we began to receive an increasing number of requests for payroll services. One of our team members became passionate about payroll and suggested we offer it to businesses nationwide. In 2018, we rose to the challenge and established Backyard Payroll. We are committed to providing personalized and cost-effective payroll solutions to small businesses across the USA.

As part of my role, I have been responsible for defining and executing a comprehensive public affairs (PA) strategy for the church in Romania. This has involved managing a dedicated PA team, fostering relationships with influential local opinion leaders, and coordinating various projects and events in collaboration with local church members. Additionally, I have provided assistance in marketing initiatives for different church programs and have maintained meticulous financial records, yearly budgets, and bookkeeping.

Some notable achievements during my tenure include:

Pioneering initiatives to raise the profile of the church in Romania, such as organizing the European premiere of Meet the Mormons, hosting nationwide "open house" events, and devising and implementing highly effective social media marketing strategies.
Facilitating seamless communication and collaboration among multiple levels of international and local management, ensuring a coordinated approach and efficient operations.
Achieving an astounding attendance increase of over 300% in English classes offered country-wide, all while operating on just 10% of the original marketing budget.
These accomplishments highlight my commitment to driving growth, engagement, and visibility for the church while optimizing resources and fostering effective communication.

In my capacity, I have been entrusted with the responsibility of administering social services for abandoned children in foster care. This has involved meticulously planning, organizing, and executing events and programs that benefit families and the local community. Additionally, I have maintained transparent reporting mechanisms, providing updates on operations and budgets to funding partners based in the US.

Some notable achievements during my tenure include:

Conducting thorough audits of families and social workers to identify any flaws in fiscal management, social services, and overall operations. By implementing stringent budgets and procedures, I have successfully eliminated instances of fraud and ensured the equitable provision of social services to those in need.
Established strong relationships with other local foundations, forging connections with government agencies and fostering collaborations with both government and non-governmental organizations. These partnerships have facilitated the development of joint projects aimed at addressing critical social issues.
I spearheaded an educational initiative on human trafficking in collaboration with local high schools. This project reached over 600 high school students, raising awareness about this pressing issue at zero cost.
These achievements underscore my commitment to promoting social welfare, implementing efficient practices, fostering collaboration, and engaging in educational outreach to empower and protect vulnerable populations.

That's why I'm passionate about helping businesses overcome these obstacles by providing skilled bookkeeping professionals, training programs, and expert guidance on accounting department setup and reorganization. I am dedicated to improving businesses' financial systems and processes, and I believe that the right systems, people, and controls are essential for any successful business.
