Mies van der Rohe poetically said that “architecture starts when you carefully put two bricks together.” Similarly, I believe that design happens when we create with an awareness that we are doing something that reaches at least a little beyond the practical and begins to say something about the world in this moment - when it begins to take on the qualities of art. I want to create beautiful spaces that make people feel and also make them think; inspiring serenity or exhilaration, while reflecting the consciousness of our time through fluid forms.
