As an AWS Edge Security Manager, I am deeply involved in managing capital asset projects with a global security scope, emphasizing innovation and cost-efficiency. My role is heavily centered on project management, involving detailed planning, budgeting, and collaboration with teams in construction management, logistics, and program management. As an Area Manager for Amazon, my primary responsibilities include leading a team of approximately fifty Amazonians in the Inbound Stow department at one of the Tulsa, Oklahoma Fulfillment Centers. As a Research Analyst for the State of Alaska, I had the opportunity to work with a talented team of data professionals to gain insights into behavioral health and substance abuse issues affecting the Alaskan population. In this role, I used a variety of tools and technologies, including SQL, Python, Excel, and Power BI, to analyze large datasets, identify key insights, create data visualizations, and prepare informative reports. This work gave me valuable hands-on experience using data to drive meaningful and impactful results. I was fortunate to collaborate with both state entities and non-profit organizations during this time, and I found the work to be both challenging and rewarding. Overall, this experience allowed me to develop my data skills and make a positive impact in my community.

Research Analyst

As a Pretrial Probation Officer, I had the opportunity to serve the public by overseeing the supervision of defendants who have been released to the community pending the completion of their cases. This included assessing the risks of reoffending, ensuring compliance with court-ordered conditions of release, conducting investigations into potential violations, and working with victims of crimes to address their concerns and provide necessary resources. In addition, I used several law enforcement data programs, such as APSIN, ACOMS, and BI, on a daily basis to assist in making informed decisions about how to handle my caseload. Overall, my role as a Pretrial Probation Officer involved a wide range of responsibilities and required strong problem-solving and communication skills.

During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, I embraced the challenge of a contract-based executive assistant role under an NDA. As a Correctional Officer at the Anchorage Correctional Complex, I was responsible for maintaining security and peace within my facility and the specific modules I oversaw. In this role, I acted as a first responder, medical aide, therapist, mentor, and leader to the inmates. I was fortunate to work with a team of dedicated professionals who were strongly bonded by a shared sense of teamwork, honor, and a desire to serve. Overall, this was a highly impactful position for me, and I received several letters of recommendation from both supervisors and colleagues upon leaving the role.

As a Loss Prevention Manager, my primary focus was on preventing loss to my company through the detection and apprehension of shoplifters (both internal and external), preventing civil lawsuits, and keeping track of all financial transactions. I was skilled in both physical aspects of my duties, such as apprehending shoplifters, and in following through with administrative record-keeping and data analytics. In addition, I served as the District Cultural Council Lead for all of Alaska's Fred Meyer Stores, where I was responsible for creating and enforcing policies that defined the culture of the organization and ensured that Fred Meyer was perceived as a positive and inclusive workplace for all employees. This role required me to be both a leader and a team player, and I worked to create a welcoming and bias-free work environment for people of all backgrounds, regardless of origin, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, or disability.
