Fipamo is an opinionated ongoing open-source flat-file CMS project that focuses on ease of use, a fun user interface, and complete ownership of personal content. 

Fipamo is being developed with PHP using the Slim framework, as well as SASS to handle CSS and Twig for page templates.

Secondary responsibilities also included developing internal design systems and ideating fresh UI/UX improvements that would incrementally increase ease of use without disturbing established conventions.

The Nile List

After a successful launch, Nile List looked to improve their online web presence and provide a unique online shopping experience. They wanted their second version to have improved performance, a fresh interactive feel, and an integrated community feature to allow their customers to interact safely with each other.

My role was to set the technical direction of the rebuilding effort, which included migrating existing data to a new database while modeling the new database to be optimized for nuanced searced based on various product attributes, like size, color, weight, etc.

I was also tasked with envisioning an interactive UI that made product information quick and easy to find.

Traditions of the Ancestors or TOTA is a community-driven site that wanted to foster social connection by allowing people of respective cultures to lead discussions and interactions about their own cultures with their own voice.

My role was to provide expertise in building a safe social environment and development support, with my primary focus being coding discussion features and utilities for uploading and organizing media.

I was tasked to build the initial version for the site, providing technical expertise and art direction to express the vision the client had set forth.

Nah, B is a health and wellness informational site focusing on providing tools for young people to recognize and deal with social situations that are toxic and/or abusive.

I was tasked to design and create an online presence from the ground up that was clean, easy to use, and be able to be updated independently. 

The site was built using a highly customized version of the Ghost NodeJS blog platform.

The University of Belize was looking to modernize its back catalog of annual reports and required a new style for their documents that was clean, fresh but maintained a clear connection to their institution. 

I was brought in to help establish and create a digital document that could be replicated and applied to all of their previous annual report offerings.

Author Daniel José Older was looking to create a centralized online space for his literary works and his stories and advice.

There was a pre-existing WordPress installation, so my first task was to update that framework to the latest version while preserving existing data. My second task was to create a custom template and define a new art direction for the grounded and colorful site.
