I am a senior year chemical engineering student. My experience in process design and research has equipped me with a strong foundation in problem-solving I have had the privilege of participating in internship programs, including ones organized by SOCAR Türkiye, SOCAR Downstream, Haydar Aliyev Oil Refinery, Azerikimya PU Ethylene-Polyethylene plant, and UNDP's "Women in STEM" Mentorship program. I have worked on numerous projects, including “Advanced Oxidation Processes for Water Treatment”, “p-Xylene production through Toluene and Methanol Alkylation”, “Use of recycled plastics in Asphalt Pavement,” “Determination of carbon footprint for Azerbaijan,” “Biochar-manufacture and use of biochar material,” “Methanol production via syngas,” and “Utilize of AI in detection of pests in crops,”. Each of these projects has challenged me to think critically and creatively, and I have learned a great deal from each of them. I have gained decision-making, time management, strategic planning, and collaboration skills by working as a volunteer at Ted Translators, Google, AIESEC, and Khan Academy. These experiences have taught me the importance of working as part of a team and leveraging the strengths of each member to achieve a common goal.
