Through my own initiative, my role has developed from a graduate intern to an important member of the team with growing responsibility week on week.

With my relocation to the United States put on hold due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I was lucky enough to land a role supporting market research and event strategy for the proposed Luxury Ski Show. During this initial period, I competed a variety of work including detailed analysis of competitors, the European property market, virtual event software and pricing strategies. My growing value to the team and additional responsibilities taken on board saw me offered a full-time position at the end of this internship.

During the six-week programme I had practical assessments and weekly mentoring sessions with industry experts, investors and programme managers of the best accelerators in UK. This experience has offered me some invaluable contacts and business insights, as well as the opportunity to learn from other passionate entrepreneurs and founders.

A free virtual accelerator designed to help early-stage startups learn how to achieve rapid growth through the principles of inbound marketing, sales, and service. As a startup with no funding, Elevate provided a crash-course in establishing a value proposition and acquiring funding, as well as helping to define our initial user acquisition strategy.

ELEVATE: The Growth Accelerator

Universell

Built by students, for students. We bridge the gap between retailers and the secondary-market, allowing students to buy, sell and trade pre-owned streetwear and sneakers - all through social media. The popularity of our virtual marketplace culminated in the very first Universell Marketplace - a physical event for over 20 independent exhibitors and 500 attendees, hosted in Newcastle. Universell served as an excellent way to finance our studies whilst at university, as well as creating some lasting memories and important business lessons.
