You should pity your Imposter Syndrome. Because after you work with me, it's going to be so beaten up that it'll never rear its ugly head again. Because of Imposter Syndrome, I've struggled with: 💤 not getting to the point 👍 not showing my people how to do what I wanted them to do 💡 not really understanding what was important to THEM and why it mattered for buy-in And it led to my feeling: -Misunderstood -Like I wasn't focusing my actions on my bigger goals, but was just spinning on a hamster wheel -Like I was repeating myself over and over but things still weren't getting done -Overwhelmed because I couldn't count on my team Once, things blew up in my face when my relationship with an employee devolved so badly that we had to get HR involved for significant intervention. I felt horrible. I hadn't: -owned my position as the leader -set clear boundaries or expectations -had hard conversations with him -held him accountable Most of all, I hadn't shown up as the kind of leader that I'd want to follow... all because deep down, I felt I wasn't "qualified" enough to take charge. Since then, I've been obsessed with great leadership and helping others become leaders they'd want to follow... in business, in their brand, and in their role. My ego took a hit, but that experience helped me become a better, more intentional leader.
