Raising a toddler while in sales is a crash course in patience and creativity. Parenting has unexpectedly sharpened my sales skills. Here's how: 1) Negotiation Tactics: Luca, my relentless negotiator, tests me daily. 'Can I have a cookie and chocolate?' I offer alternatives: a cookie now, chocolate after dinner. It's about finding win-win solutions. 2) Handling Objections: Toddlers object. A lot. 'Luca, time for bed.' 'No, not tired.' Sound familiar? In sales, overcoming objections is key. I’ve learned to listen, empathize, and guide. 'I know you're not tired, but let’s read a story in bed.' 3) Building Trust: Consistency builds trust. With Luca, it's a routine. In sales, it's following through. Trust grows with repeated positive interactions. 4) Adapting to Change: Parenting is unpredictable. One moment, giggles; the next, a tantrum. Sales is similar. Markets shift, needs change. I adapt quickly, pivot strategies, and stay calm under pressure. 5) Creativity in Problem Solving: Luca loves puzzles. When a piece doesn’t fit, he tries a new angle. In sales, creative problem-solving is vital. Parenting is my greatest teacher. It’s like nurturing a child and a client relationship. Every day, Luca pushes me to be better. And I am grateful for that.
AI is rewriting the marketing playbook. (Here's what I learned yesterday) I had the chance to attend the IAB AI Launchpad by IAB Italy, a groundbreaking event dedicated to AI in marketing. Here’s a quick recap of what went down: → Mint showcased our agentic AI system with a live demo. → Generative AI is great for creating content. ↳ But Predictive AI is where the magic happens. ↳ It's the secret sauce behind giants like Amazon and Netflix. Google's EyeOpening Insights: → Simona Panseri from Google presented some startling stats. ↳ 43% of Italians are already using AI. ↳ Over 70% are optimistic about AI’s benefits in various sectors. ↳ Google’s initiative, “AI for Made in Italy,” aims to support local businesses. Brand Safety Matters: → With users spending over 2.3 hours online daily, brand safety is crucial. ↳ AI tools are there to protect your brand’s reputation. AI Transformations in Marketing: → AI agents and advanced targeting are reshaping strategies. ↳ First party data management is key to staying competitive. Reflective Thoughts: → Sergio Amati discussed the concept of CoIntelligence. ↳ AI should enhance human capabilities, not replace them. Looking Ahead: → Italy’s GDP could grow by 8% if AI is fully integrated. ↳ The AI revolution is impacting every sector, from science to marketing. A huge thanks to IAB Italia for organizing this event. As Simona Panseri said, “The time for AI is now!” Would love to hear your thoughts on AI in marketing. What excites you the most?
Your data is working against you. You’re sitting on a goldmine of insights... But most of it is locked away in silos. And it’s costing you time, money, and missed opportunities. Here’s how to break free: 𝟭/ 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 ↳ Make sure your tools communicate with each other. ↳ The more connected your data, the faster your decisions. 𝟮/ 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗹𝘀 ↳ Inconsistent data = bad insights. ↳ Align naming conventions, formats, and structures across teams. 𝟯/ 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 ↳ Data lakes, warehouses, or dashboards—whatever works for you. ↳ The key is one source of truth for the entire company. 𝟰/ 𝗘𝗻𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀-𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 ↳ Marketing, sales, finance—everyone should have visibility. ↳ Aligned teams make faster, smarter decisions. 𝟱/ 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 ↳ If your people don’t know how to use data, it doesn’t matter how good your system is. ↳ Build a data-driven culture, not just a tech stack. Bottom line? Your business is only as smart as the data it can actually use. Break down silos, and you unlock faster growth, better decisions, and a competitive edge. P.S. Are data silos slowing you down? Drop a comment—I’d love to hear your experience!

Choosing between vertical and horizontal AI agents could redefine your business strategy. Here's what you need to know. Vertical AI Agents: Simple and focused. These are your single purpose tools designed to excel in specific tasks. Think of them as specialists. They are: → Highly optimised for specific functions → Easy to implement → Efficient and accurate within their domain Yet, they come with some baggage: ↳ Limited flexibility ↳ Dependence on vendors ↳ Challenges in scaling beyond their predefined roles Horizontal AI Agents: The Swiss Army knife of AI. These agents are versatile and adaptable. They can be your goto for diverse tasks across departments. Their strengths? → Mimic human employees, learning and adapting → Integrate across multiple functions → Scalability and cross-functional integration But, there's a catch: ↳ Require more setup and training ↳ Higher initial costs ↳ Complex to manage due to continuous fine tuning So, which should you choose? If your focus is on automating specific, repetitive tasks, vertical AI agents are your best bet. However, if you’re aiming for long-term flexibility and scalability across various functions, horizontal AI agents are the way to go. In the rapidly evolving landscape of digital marketing, especially within SaaS, making the right choice can set you up for success. What do you think? Are you leaning towards a specialist or a generalist AI approach? Share your thoughts below!
Just because you have an LLM doesn’t mean you have AI. Too many companies think adding a chatbot or a language model makes them “AI-driven.” Here’s the truth: That’s like saying installing a GPS turns your car into a self-driving vehicle. It doesn’t. Real AI doesn’t just generate text—it drives business decisions, automates actions, and connects with data in real time. According to Salesforce, a complete AI system needs these four components: 1) Data – AI is only as powerful as the information it can access. If your AI isn’t connected to your business data, it’s just guessing. 2) AI – Beyond chat, it should autonomously generate insights and make decisions. 3) Automation – AI is useless if it can’t act on its insights. Decision-making must lead to execution. 4) An ecosystem of innovators – AI shouldn’t work in isolation. It needs to be connected to workflows, teams, and tools. The problem? Most businesses stop at step two. They add an AI assistant but never unlock true AI autonomy. That’s where Agentic AI comes in. If your AI can’t pull real-time insights, verify facts, or take independent action—it’s just a fancy chatbot. Is your AI truly agentic, or is it just another LLM?
