I solve problems with sales. A need for revenue is the most obvious, but it extends far beyond that. Need to validate a feature is worth adding to the product? That's a sales problem. Need to find talent to solve a big internal problem? That's a sales problem. Need to raise capital. Definitely a sales problem. Because sales is about developing a process for identifying issues, finding solutions, and then providing the necessary support required to convince everyone involved that the promised benefit is worth the aggravation and expense fixing the problem.
