I’m a storyteller and strategist with broad experience in communications and marketing, currently working as a freelance content writer. Prior to going freelance, I spent more than a decade working as a full-time in-house marketing leader for B2B software companies. At IVIX, I launched the startup's first marketing program to build brand awareness, educate the market on a new paradigm of combating tax evasion, and close the company's first deals with clients in multiple regions. Prior to joining IVIX, I spent nearly a decade at Palantir. First as a proposal writer, then as a marketer, I grew to love helping public servants deliver on their missions and sharing their stories of success and impact. I take special pride in having helped Palantir land some of its most important government contracts, roll out a fresh brand and digital strategy, and pull off one of 2020’s biggest IPOs — but most of all I’m proud of helping to build a world-class, totally nontraditional marketing and communications team and mentoring and managing some of the best talent in the business. Outside of my professional career, I’m an avid reader and writer. I’m eagerly awaiting the release of Robert Caro’s final volume on LBJ, and I occasionally publish personal essays on my website at https://www.danacass.com. Once a serious student of ballet and theatre, you can still find me at the barre every so often (mourning the loss of my arabesque!) or warming a seat in a Broadway theatre.
