At a young age, it was my dream to one day be in the military. In 1995, I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served in various locations around the world to include Japan where I spent the first two years of my Marine Corps career. As a Sergeant during my last two years in the Marine Corps I had the pleasure and honor of training recruits marksmanship Later in life I continued to serve my country as a Private Security Contractor guarding United States Dignitaries in Iraq and as a Site Security Manager in Afghanistan . After the military, I found the world of retail “by accident”. It seemed a natural fit for me because I enjoy helping people locate the right products for their needs. Witnessing a customer smile when they get the product that will solve a problem inspires me to go to work every day. I have had the pleasure of working for multiple retail chains and some of these include Best Buy, The UPS Store and Floor & Décor. My roles grew as my supervisors could see that I had a knack for training, coaching, and mentoring teams to achieve in executing the overall vision of the executive team. Currently I am the General Manager of Mammoth Holdings, a very popular car wash chain in Georgia. My main responsibilities are maintaining the overall operations and leading a great staff. Sometimes individually and sometimes on a team-level, my goal is to help my staff perform better than they did even the day before. When we grow as a team, the opportunities to grow become limitless! Here a few of my career highlights: * Mammoth Holdings. Successfully turned around this failing site that was the lowest 5 in the region to perform at the top in the region within a few months. This achievement lead to being placed in another high-volume site to perform the same transformation, this time making the site a top 10 revenue generating operation within 6 months. * Floor & Décor. Exceeded sales goals several quarters and was moved from department to department to successfully improve and enhance the overall presentation of products within these divisions. * Best Buy. Effectively improved and streamlined the picking and shipping process within the store resulting in online orders being shipped ahead of schedule 95% of the time, and an increase in positive reviews for the store.
