Lead a diverse team of urban planners and technicians in a wide range of activities on housing, current planning, redevelopment, and land use planning. Cape Coral is the third largest city by landmass in Florida. Subject matter expert for City Council on urban planning.

Project manager to oversee and develop a new parks master plan, northwest vision plan, land development regulation rewrite, and new master plan for Community Redevelopment Area. 

Supervised implementation of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP), and Neighborhood Stabilization Programs (NSP) for awards in excess of $6M for neighborhood improvements and affordable housing.

Established environmental training program for environmental volunteers (bald eagle monitoring, burrowing owl, and gopher tortoise) to engage strategic stakeholders and decrease staff needs to City. 


Project Manager - FEMA Flood Policy Costs and Hazard Mitigation
•	Oversaw and developed improvements to program in 2011 to help the City obtain an improved rating of 5 CRS status
•	Decreased flood insurance rates by 25% for flood insurance rate payers 

Florida Scrub Jay and City Regional Park 
Project Manager for highly controversial Habitat Conservation Plan (HCP) and Federal Incidental Take Permit (ITP) for listed species (Florida scrub jay) to allow construction of new regional park in Cape Coral
•	Developed scope for mitigation options acceptable to USFWS and presented to City Commission stakeholders
•	Collaborated with stakeholder Lee County to utilize County property for most cost-feasible long-term option to meet USFWS requirements
•	Initiated City adoption of non-wasting trust fund of $788K for long-term habitat management to allow construction of new regional park, which was a more equitable option than $27K per individual lot assessment

Performed habitat field assessments and advanced GIS analysis for Planning, Design, & Engineering (PD&E). Coordinated permitting and performed negotiations with State and Federal agencies.
