As a Chartered Designer, I create clear messaging for brands using rich pictures, animation, infographics, and doodles. This helps brands reach their business goals through the universal language of pictures and facilitates simple communication that's easy for both staff and customers to understand. In 1999 I co-founded The G2G3 Group, which we grew to be a multi-million-pound global business and successfully sold to Capita in 2013. I stayed on as Creative Director until 2017. I built and led a strong media team to look after high-value branding, simulation and communication programmes for global clients such as Microsoft, HP, IBM, Johnson & Johnson, Reuters, E-ON, Swiss Re and BP. I have worked as a graphic designer & visual scribe for over 30 years, and constantly study new techniques to improve my creativity, which keeps my design process sustainable, up-to-date, and one step ahead. Today I create unique visual communication using a human style that's simple, fun, and packed with punch. Every project has a unique feel to evoke the 'a-ha, wow!' response. Personal service is at the heart of my business. I love what I do, and really get to know my clients, be it for a start-up, SME, charity or large organisation like abrdn, EY or Deloitte. This helps me get to grips with individual or complex challenges, external or internal, so we can create ideal solutions every time. I have shared my experience with others as a mentor to a variety of businesses within the RBS/Natwest Entrepreneur Accelerator in Edinburgh.
