With over 23 years of experience in the action sports and apparel / accessories wholesale and retail industry, I have built a career focused on sales, brand building, and developing global brands across the african continent. My early experience in a warehouse taught me the importance of order fulfillment, stock dispatch, and the inner workings of a business. These foundational skills proved valuable when I transitioned into sales, where I quickly demonstrated my ability to build relationships with clients, close deals, and exhibit strong product knowledge. Today, I am recognized for my expertise in sales, brand building, and developing global brands in Africa. I co-founded Luks Brands in 2008 and focused on building global brands in Africa, where I developed successful marketing and sales strategies for a portfolio of international lifestyle brands, resulting in significant growth and expansion across the continent. I was a partner the Cotton Art Group, where I honed my skills in design, manufacturing, and branding, working with some of the biggest brands in South Africa. Today the group is defined by 3 clear silos. Luks Group, which focuses on global brand building in Africa, Luks Brand, which specializes in building brands through sourcing services, branding, merchandising, and solving go-to-market logistics. LB Retail, which is a manufacturing arm to a collective of globally represented brands. My passion for the industry and commitment to excellence are what continue to drive me.
