Everyone thinks innovation is about acquiring new knowledge. But that’s not the full story. Sure, there are great experts out there. 10+ years of experience in engineering projects has led me to a deep belief that reaching new heights requires knowledge and positive synergies. Working together results in a combined effect greater than the sum of separate efforts. This micro-vision scales-up to the international environment. Therefore, I am on a mission to bring people, knowledge, and businesses together to foster solutions for a better world. David Bowie said about himself ‘I am a professional generalist’. This is true for me as well. I unite my technical knowledge with a commitment to understand the situation of a customer. Knowing a perspective is crucial for liaison between parties. Consequently, I invest in it. I have certifications in English public speaking, hydraulic systems, and digital modelling in medicine. Further have lead projects in manufacturing, IT, education, and 3D printing. Of course, the cultural perspective also matters. While being a proud Latvian, I acquired an engineering degree in Germany and lived there for several years. As a result, I understand the background both from Germany and Latvia. Currently, I work as a project manager to foster cooperation between Germany and the Baltics. My work focuses on the market in Latvia and on topics of waste management, renewables, sustainability, and energy efficiency.
