⛔ After having worked for a decade as a radio journalist, then as a TV reporter, with a foray into the digital world as a web content creator, I became passionate about the humanitarian and international development sector. I needed to bring myself up to the standard of skills and requirements in development project management. This capacity building appeared to me as the sesame to support my personal cause, to put myself at the service of others. Joining the African Water Association, a pan-African organization for capacity building of water and sanitation operators, was my baptism of fire in international development. From there, another passion was born: facilitating access to toilets and sanitation facilities for all. 🤩 If it represents a banal gesture for many, using a decent latrine every day represents a challenge for many. This cause led me to the American NGO Population Services International and now to the American company TetraTech where I am in charge of leading the institutional communication policy to keep donors and governmental actors informed of the actions taken to facilitate access to toilets for the poorest. As a professional journalist and knowledge management specialist with a decade of experience on USAID-funded projects, I lead the production of learning notes to facilitate the replication of successful experiences in order to advise development actors on good practices to adopt for the emulation of a sanitation market through strong private sector involvement. Outside the sanitation sector, I conduct and implement communication plans for international organizations by defining communication objectives, the most appropriate channels, target audiences and the most advantageous tools. I’m fluency in English and experimented with USAID funded project deliverable and requirements.
