The Academic 🎓 Marketing should inspire and influence, not manipulate. My mission as a Lecturer in Marketing at Coventry University London is to instil ethical, transparent and creative practices in the next generation of marketers. I'm convinced that only by fostering integrity can we tackle global challenges and create a more informed, conscious, and equitable world. The Marketer 📈 Running two for-profit service businesses and a non-profit initiative in London has taught me the power of effective marketing. From SEO to social media ads, from email campaigns to content marketing, I’ve done it all, from strategy to execution. The Language Professional 🌍 I speak German, Hungarian and English at native/working proficiency level. I have an MSc in German Linguistics and Literature. My London-based language training company ProLingua Global offers language coaching programmes for executives in the financial services industry. I also host and organise social gatherings and networking events for linguists and language professionals. The Nature Lover 🌿 Leonardo da Vinci once said, “Learn how to see. Realise that everything connects to everything else.” From marvelling at fireflies to studying trees through Peter Wohlleben’s and Tristan Gooley’s books, nature’s wonders never stop inspiring me. The Adventurer 🗺️ I've trekked 300 kilometres on the El Camino de Santiago, explored the higher Himalayas, and followed Darwin’s footsteps in the Galapagos islands. More recently, I visited indigenous tribes in the Amazon rainforest. I like exploring diverse cultures and pushing my physical limits, though I also appreciate a good book and the comforts of city life. “If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his own language, that goes to his heart.” This quote from Nelson Mandela is often on my mind. It captures the essence of what it means to be a good linguist and language professional, a good marketer, a good communicator, a good academic, a teacher, a lecturer and an overall human being.
