Here's a short background of my previous work experiences: I currently work full-time at Finch AI as a data scientist. My roles and responsibilities include creating, evaluating, and deploying natural language processing models and utilizing LLMs and generative AI in a responsible, transparent, and easily explainable manner in the models that we produce. My prior work experience is summarized below: I worked at Brandeis as a full-time Data Scientist for 3 years. While I was there, I worked with a small team of 6 and drove value by applying machine learning techniques in Python, R, and SQL to (1) clean and gather data and (2) automate data pipeline processes to save on maintenance costs. More specifically, my contributions saved 11 months of cost overhead by smartly applying unsupervised machine learning techniques without compromising model results. I had a whole retinue of tasks, allowing me to apply my machine learning, data science, and statistic skills. I worked as an NLP Intern for Luminoso Technologies during the penultimate semester of my undergradute degree from August 2017 to December 2017. While there, I applied the Japanese linguistics knowledge that I knew and helped improve NLP sentiment analysis systems there. In November, the other team members went to Japan to sell their product and were successful in doing so due to my major contribution! I worked part-time as an NLP Researcher at the University of Colorado Boulder. In this role, two others and I created a Python library that linguistically grounds where NLP models are making their errors. This tool, OLEA, lets people understand where to iterate on their NLP systems. I am in the market for a part-time position.
