I’m Jeff Meyers, a career coach, storyteller, and consultant dedicated to helping professionals not just land jobs but transform their careers. Through decades of coaching and personal development, I’ve guided motivated individuals to achieve breakthrough moments. Now, I’ve channeled that passion into Career Maniacs—a movement built to get people back to work and onto their next big opportunity. My journey started with a simple piece of advice: "Interview for roles you aren’t quite qualified for—often." That wisdom became my catalyst for growth, pushing me to master the art of storytelling, refine my confidence, and identify areas for improvement. Today, I empower others to craft their career stories with the same precision, ensuring every interview feels like a seamless, confident performance. At Career Maniacs, I use the Maniac Method—a blend of storytelling, confidence-building, and AI-driven job strategies—to help clients unlock their potential. Whether it’s creating stories that captivate, leveraging AI tools to gain an edge, or walking into interviews with unshakable confidence, I ensure every client is equipped to stand out and succeed. Helping others transform their careers is more than a job—it’s my passion. Watching clients gain clarity, confidence, and offers they once thought were out of reach drives me every day. When I’m not coaching, I’m surfing, practicing Jiu-Jitsu, or mentoring young professionals—activities that keep me grounded and energized to help my clients conquer their challenges. If you’re ready to own your story, secure your dream role, and take control of your career, let’s connect. Your next chapter starts now.

Wanna stay stuck? Keep relying on ‘willpower.’ 𝗪𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗮 𝘄𝗶𝗻? 𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝗮 𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼’𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗕𝗦. Let’s talk about the power of 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆. You’re ambitious. You’re talented. You’ve got big goals. And yet... you're human. Which means at some point, motivation dips, focus fractures, and Netflix suddenly becomes more appealing than that 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴. Enter: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿. Not the “rah-rah” cheerleader who claps when you breathe. I’m talking about the 𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲-𝗼𝗿-𝗱𝗶𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵-𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿 who asks, “Hey, didn’t you say you were gonna send that video by Friday?” and then actually expects an answer. Here’s the truth: 💡 Dreams die in isolation. 💡 Execution thrives in community. 💡 Consistency is a team sport. A trusted accountability partner isn’t just someone who 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀 you of your goals. They hold up a mirror to your potential—and call you out when you play small. They don’t let you coast on 70% effort when they know you’re capable of 100. And when your 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘆𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗲 rears its ugly head? They hand you a metaphorical bat and say, “Swing.” So if you’re serious about leveling up— Find someone who’s just as committed to 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 success as you are. Better yet? Be 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 person for someone else too. Because greatness isn’t a solo act. #Accountability #Leadership #Coaching #Mindset #Entrepreneurship #NoMoreLoneWolves #ManiacMethod #Interview #success
Interviewing 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗙𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗲: A Live Feed from the Twilight Zone Imagine this. You’re in an interview. You’ve got the resume. You’ve got the receipts. You’ve got the confidence of a Marvel villain in the third act. And then—out of nowhere—you get 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 question: “How will you balance this job with your family?” 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: “Are you gonna be distracted by your uterus?” Let’s flip the script. Picture that question aimed at a man. 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀. Absolute silence. Because no one asks 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝘃𝗲 how he plans to juggle spreadsheets and school pickups. Here’s where I have to own something: After working closely with several of my female clients, I’ve realized how blind I’ve been to just 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗼𝘂𝘀 the double standards are. The difference in how women are treated in interviews versus men? It's not just subtle—it's institutionalized. It’s extraordinary. And it’s bulls**t. Here’s a peek inside the Gendered Gauntlet—𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗯𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗺 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝘂𝗻: 👉 “Are you comfortable leading a team?” Oh, I don’t know—do you ask men if they’re 𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 prepared for the existential weight of middle management? 👉 “How do you handle pressure?” Spoiler: We don’t scream into a stress ball shaped like the patriarchy. We do the damn job. 👉 “What does your husband think about this role?” 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧. Does his opinion come with stock options? These aren’t “quirky” or “outdated” questions. They’re micro-aggressions with name tags. They’re the business casual version of saying, “We’re not sure you belong here.” So let’s flip the damn script. Ask questions that 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 assess skill and value: 🔹 “How do you drive results under tight deadlines?” 🔹 “What innovations have you brought to previous teams?” 🔹 “Where do you see yourself growing in our organization?” Gender-neutral. Performance-focused. Human. 𝗕𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲? If a question only makes sense with ovaries in the equation, it doesn’t belong in the interview. Now it’s your turn: 👉 Ever been hit with a sexist curveball in an interview? Drop it below. Let’s blow the lid off this nonsense together. And next time someone hits you with that “balance” question? Just smile and ask: “Would you ask a man that?” #CareerCoach #HiringBias #WorkplaceEquality #InterviewRedFlags #WomenInLeadership #GenderBias #WorkCulture #InclusiveHiring #UnconsciousBias #BurnTheScript

Being unemployed sucks! Especially, in the current job market. The fastest way back to your career is by mastering your mindset. The smallest negative thoughts fester and become the same negative thoughts the next day, & so on. We can try to hide it, but people can feel negative energy. When this happened to me, I played a silly game. As soon as I became aware that I was wallowing in negative thoughts, I (in my head) turned the thought into a playing card, & shuffled it with a full deck. I imagined the schuffle stoping on the “Gratitude” card. Looking at the card, I opened my eyes and started to be thankful for just about everything! Flip being unemployed around & beat it with gratitude! I’m grateful that I have the time to visit an elderly loved one. I’m grateful to have the time to get all those household todos done. I’m grateful to spend extra time with me dog! What are you grateful for while being unemployed? #job #jobmarket #laidoff #mindset #attitude #themaniacmethod #careermaniacs

Navigating Unemployment: Staying Strong Through the Journey Unemployment can be isolating, frustrating, and overwhelming, but it doesn’t define your value. Through my own experience, I’ve learned that mindset and support make a huge difference. Here are a few lessons that have helped me navigate this transition: 🌟 Find Your Support System – When working, daily interactions happen naturally. When unemployed, it can feel like everyone is busy while you’re left searching for connections. Seek out people who uplift and encourage you, separate from your professional network. Their positivity can help you stay motivated. ⏳ Balance Dedication with Breaks – A focused job search is essential, but taking breaks throughout the day is just as important. Step away, get outdoors, move your body—whatever helps refresh your mind so you stay energized and resilient. 💡 Positivity is a Choice – One day, I asked my son why he was smiling for no reason, and his response was profound: “Mom, do you really need a reason to be happy?” That stuck with me. Happiness isn’t always tied to circumstances—you can choose to embrace the small moments of joy even when things feel uncertain. 🔥 You Are Still YOU – Don’t let being on someone’s layoff list diminish your confidence, skills, or value. This experience doesn’t define you—you are strong, smart, and capable. The right opportunity is out there, and your resilience will guide you to it. If you’ve gone through a career transition, what helped you stay grounded and optimistic? Drop your thoughts in the comments! Let’s support each other through the ups and downs.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆? Let me guess You're worried it won't sound perfect. You're clinging to that boring-ass resume like it's a life raft. You're playing it safe, hoping someone, anyone, will magically see your potential. Guess what? No one is going to connect the dots for you. No one cares about your duties and bullet points. They care about whether you move them. Period. Your career? It's not just a list of responsibilities. It's a wild ride Full of fumbles, pivots, wins, losses, scars, and damn good lessons. But here’s where most people screw it up: When the spotlight hits, they turn into a PowerPoint presentation with a pulse. Flat. Predictable. Forgettable. If you want to stand out, you need to stop presenting and start storytelling. You need to show them the blood, sweat, and WTF moments that shaped you. Not just the sanitized, LinkedIn-friendly highlight reel. Next time you walk into an interview, step on a stage, or DM a decision-maker — Don't ask: What should I say? Ask: What story will slap them awake and make them say — 𝗜 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝘆 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺. ✔️Your stories are your edge. ✔️Your voice is your hook. ✔️Your humanity is the whole damn point. Watered-down stories don’t win. Real ones do. #ManiacMethod #OwnYourStory #CareerStorytelling #NoMoreBoringInterviews #SpeakHumanOrStayHome
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 “𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀" Have you ever felt like a job interview presentation was a free consulting session? 𝗬𝗼𝘂’𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲. Here’s the thing nobody wants to say out loud: Companies love candidate presentations because they double as free R&D — and most candidates never see it coming. So where’s the line between showcasing your genius and getting fleeced? 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀: Sure, it’s tempting to fish for ideas under the warm glow of “candidate engagement.” But if you’re snatching up ideas without credit, hire, or even a courtesy rejection email — you’re not vetting talent, you’re just another player in the corporate Hunger Games. 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀: It’s a trap disguised as an opportunity. Give too little? You fade into the beige carpet of the conference room. Give too much? You’ll spot your pitch in their next investor deck while you’re still refreshing your inbox for that follow-up email that’s never coming. This tightrope isn’t new. It’s just getting more crowded — and companies know it. So here’s the real question: At what point does this stop being “part of the process” and start looking like what it actually is — 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝘂𝗶𝘁? Seen it? Lived it? Dodged it? Tell me. #CareerTips #JobInterviewAdvice #CareerDevelopment #InterviewPrep #CandidateExperience #TheManiacMethod #NoMoreFreeWork #JobSearch #KnowYourWorth
𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲. 𝗜𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝗿’𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘁𝘀. We’ve been sold a lie. That striving for perfection makes us high performers. That perfection is synonymous with excellence. But here's the truth: perfectionism doesn’t drive us to do better—𝗶𝘁 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘇𝗲𝘀 𝘂𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴. Because deep down, perfectionism isn’t about standards. It’s about fear: – Fear of being judged. – Fear of being ordinary. – Fear of not being "enough" in a culture that monetizes our insecurity. “𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗶𝘀 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗳𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗳𝗶𝘁.” And damn, isn’t that the truth? We polish things endlessly because we’re afraid of being seen unfinished. We delay launches, posts, pitches—because if it's not flawless, we think it’s failure. But excellence isn’t created in hiding. It’s created by showing up, shipping, and iterating. Perfection is a mask. Progress is a move. You get to choose which one builds your career. #ManiacMethod #CareerManiacs #Leadership #Mindset #CareerGrowth #FearOfFailure #PersonalDevelopment #ProgressOverPerfection #PerformanceMindset #Productivity #Psychology #HighPerformance
𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗲𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 — 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲. Candidates are being asked to prepare “interview presentations” that take hours, sometimes days to build. No context. No feedback. No follow-up. And worst of all? Your IP ends up in some internal deck after they ghost you. But not if you’re a Maniac. Maniacs don’t walk into these traps blind. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗵𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵: “The next step is a presentation.” 🤜 Clarify The Ask • What’s the real objective behind this exercise? • Is this assessing me — or quietly solving an internal problem? (only if you have built the proper rapport) 🤜 Define What Great Looks Like • What does “great” mean in your eyes? • Has a candidate who nailed it? “Yeah? What stood out to you? • What criteria will you use to evaluate me? 🤜 Protect Your IP • Will this be shared internally or referenced beyond the hiring process? • Will I receive feedback regardless of the outcome? 🤜 Take Control • Will I have the opportunity to clarify assumptions beforehand? • What made you decide to include this step in the process? 🤜 And when they say: “Please send your slides ahead of time.” This is your line — 𝗻𝗼 𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: "I don’t share decks ahead of time. The presentation is designed to be dynamic and interactive — not a static asset. You’ll get the full value when we meet live." 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 (without begging for it): ✔ Add your name + watermark every slide. ✔ Include: “Prepared exclusively for [Company]. Not for distribution.” ✔ Never send editable files. Maniacs don’t give away free consulting. You’re not applying to be their vendor — you’re applying to be their peer. If that makes them uncomfortable? 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱. It should. #ManiacMethod #NoFreeConsulting #AddWatermarks #DynamicNotDisposable #OwnTheRoom #ControlTheFrame
If I hear one more person say “use the STAR method,” I might actually fall into a coma. Look, STAR had its moment—back when flip phones were cool and “storytelling” meant reading from a resume like it was a hostage note. But today? Everyone’s using the same formula. And when everyone zig-zags in the same direction, nobody stands out. Enter ABT: 𝗔𝗻𝗱. 𝗕𝘂𝘁. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲. Three words. Infinite possibilities. It’s storytelling for people who don’t want their audience checking Slack mid-sentence. Here’s how it works: 𝗔𝗻𝗱 – Set the stage. “Our BDRs were dialing like their jobs depended on it—because they did. Thousands of calls a week.” 𝗕𝘂𝘁 – Cue the plot twist. “But only two people picked up. Out of 200. That’s not outreach—that’s a very expensive audio meditation practice.” 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 – Land the punch. “Therefore, we partnered with TitanX. Now those same reps are having more live conversations in a single day than they used to in a week.” That’s not just a win. That’s a 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆. Why does ABT work? → Because our brains crave conflict and resolution—not bullet points in a blazer. → Because “Situation, Task, Action, Result” sounds like an instruction manual for an IKEA chair. → Because attention is earned, not assumed. In a world where everyone’s reciting STAR like it’s gospel, you have a choice: blend in, or actually say something worth remembering. Try ABT in your next interview, pitch, or presentation. Then come back and tell me how many jaws dropped. #Storytelling #ABTFramework #SalesLeadership #BDRStrategy #InterviewTips #CareerNarrative #PipelinePower #ManiacMethod #IntelligentOutrage #careermaniacs
