Take note of what you've said or how you've said it. Your job as a 'creator' is to educate, provide value, show thag you've got the answers and the solutions to people's problems!

No need to over think the content creation process, it doesn't have to be complex, keep it simple for yourself!

Let's be honest - just aimlessly publishing random videos and blog posts won't move the revenue needle much. 😭

What We Can Learn From Kids! 🧒

After a great chat with Sue Reynolds at the end of last week, we got chatting about all things marketing and she mentioned that we could learn a lot from our kids.

I was thinking about this after our call and started noticing it more and more in my own kids.

Kids are the world's best marketers, they naturally follow the processes of a marketer.

Stick with me.

✅ Clear Vision & Goal - I want that toy, I want that game, I want to go to this place. Aware of their Desire. 

✅ Attention - How can I get attention from the right people who can get me to achieve that goal?

✅ Strategy - Once I've got that attention what's the best strategy to get the result? Do I cry until they give it me, do I do puppy dog eyes and super politely start with "Daaaad...." 

✅ Execute - Pull the trigger on all of the above

✅ Pivot - If the strategy doesn't work, what's the change of tact? 

✅ Negotiation - "If I can have it I'll clean my room everyday! I'll be the bestest I can be"

The signs are there when you look closely, maybe we're born more entrepreneurial than we think, we unlearn these skills as we grow and are told to get in line. 

We learn them again as we look to go back out into the world of business. 

Time to take some lessons from the pure marketers, our kids! 

The Most Important Aspect of Your Video Marketing Strategy 🎥

You may have many different opinions here.

❌ Some will say the production value.

❌ Some will say on camera techniques.

❌ Some will say the script.

❌ Some will say the content itself.

Now don't get my wrong I'm not saying these points aren't important, they absolutely are!

However I believe the most important part comes before all of that. It's the very first thing that should be considered when creating content.

Purpose...

✅ What's the plan?

✅ What's the point?

✅ Where do you want that viewer to go?

✅ What's the journey you're taking them on?

The scatter gun approach is not the best strategy. We often hear in business  about being laser focused on our goals and aspirations, take that mindset into your content too.

Knowing the journey and the people you're talking to allowed you to carefully design content that speaks to them and takes them on a journey, warms the up and prequalifies them into your pipeline, all this before you've even spoke to them! 🔥

If you're strategy is, I put more content out there to be visible, then I'm afraid to say that's not a strategy.

That's a goal, the strategy is the steps you're taking and the understanding you have to be able to achieve that goal, or guide your audience to where you want them to go.

Understanding the customer journey and the content purpose is crucial and underrated, because of that, it's often a skipped step. It's not the shiny, sexy part of the process, so its easily ignored.
