Oh, don’t give me that, you. “Labelling yourself as lazy is counter-intuitive!” You’ve already MET Lazy Copywriters. They’re just not upfront and honest about it. They got you interested in them. You reached out to them. You sat in a call with them, and they sold you a buzzword cocktail of everything you needed to hear. “Catapult your conversions, increase your email sign-ups, sales, sales, and sales!” And then when push came to shove, what happened? Nothing much, right? Have they even trained? Been mentored? Do they know the power of changing 1 word? Probably not. You’re more out of pocket than you started, while they’re laughing their way to the bank with your hard-earned money. But still, back to me. Why is being honest about how lazy I am a good thing compared to these other lazy copywriters who aren’t honest? Well, this is why. • I don’t like working long hours. (I’d rather get it done as fast as possible, so I can relax). • Finding pain points and trigger words are borrrrring. (Your audience has a problem. I find it. I cut out the unnecessary non-converting data). • I don’t bother learning anything new. (I know what works. DIC for emails and adverts, AIDA, BAB, or PAS for websites, and even INCUP if your audience targets ADHD people). But even telling people just like you all of this… it just… doesn’t seem to work. • Over 100 positive testimonials for some reason. I wish they’d leave me alone… • I got a store's first sale within 2 years through email copywriting on a list of 800 people, but they didn’t let me go. Only took me a week, it’s not THAT impressive. • Increased clicks on a button from 100-120 a week to 170 just by changing the home page a bit. I mean, it’s just a button, right? I’m telling you, it’s tough being lazy. But even then, I always get asked for my Calendly, or just DM’d. So I’ll just paste it here.
