Background: I began my career in data science, spending six years working as an actuarial specialist for the finance industry. I learned how to design and research early, while working full-time on several pioneering grant-funded research projects at the Computerized Conferencing and Communications Center at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. During that time, I worked on my Master of Science degree at night, specializing in Human-Computer Interaction, and performing original research in AI. Since then, I have focused on improving the user experience. My experience includes consulting for Google, ChaiOne, AT&T, Avaya, Illinois Institute of Technology Research Institute, Bell Communications Research (now iconectiv), and user-centered contributions in pharma, chemical, financial, and healthcare IT. My goal has always been to provide evidence-based user experience design, research, and writing that exceeds organizational goals. Expertise in robotic process automation, neural networks, and expert systems. For AT&T, I co-authored the system requirements and UI of an expert system that reduced the training time of expert trouble-shooters by more than 75%.
