My first major event was Glastonbury festival. I worked on the hospitality area and was responsible for limiting access to the general public. When I was faced with difficult customers I used my quick thinking and negotiation skills to defuse the situation. I improved my customer service skills by interacting with the VIP’s and providing advice about the location of stages and facilities, as well as the artists timings. I did this through successful communication and rapport with customers. Due to the event’s large scale, I had to use my problem solving skills to help customers navigate around the festival area.
