• Redux in Gaming - an experiment in which I investigate the
possibility of using C# and the flux architecture in the gaming world.
• UI Automation Framework – Developed a UI automation framework to be used by non-developers, supporting mainly WPF and WinForms. Was embraced by the army.
• Duolingo Game – Developed a web client of the Duolingo game, compatible with both desktop and mobile.
• Hybrid App – Created a hybrid app for a retail company with Phonegap and JQuery Mobile.

Fullstack Software Engineer

Product Madness

Our team is responsible for the development of frameworks which provide the base functionality on top of which the company’s products are developed.

Our core technologies are:
C#                Unity3D	           ReactJS                 Redux               Gradle

Responsibilities included:
•	Developing of 2 infrastructure systems, which are used across all products
•	Upgrading the company’s internal tooling development –  I created a library to host web pages within the Unity3D editor, allowing modern tools development using cutting edge ReactJS and HTML5.
•	Reforming the debugging process- Created a live profiler for real-time debugging of the AssetBundles loading, downloading and unloading straight from the mobile device, which didn’t exist before.
•	Modernizing working procedures – migrating the team to using proper git-flow.
•	Interviewing senior staff for two core development teams.
•	Performing regular code reviews to the entire codebase using the Atlassian Suite.

The team was responsible developing the new version of the Payoneer Platform:
• Brand new backend system.
• Integration with legacy DB procedures.
• Integration with payment API’s.
• Designing the new frontend.

Israel Defense Forces

8200 is an elite unit in the Israeli Defence Forces and acts as the main SIGINT organisation of Israel. It is responsible for collecting signal intelligence and code decryption, providing the state with high quality intelligence from various resources.
Served as a Fullstack Software Engineer. After only 14 months of service, I was promoted to be the Tech Lead of my entire department (21 people).
My department’s aim was to provide the unit with in-house developed applications that allow perfect synchronization between the various departments while keeping stable and easy to maintain. We were also responsible for extensive performance testing of complex systems carrying sensitive information, tweaking and modifying those systems to behave in a stable and performant manner.

My Responsibilities included:
• Designing architectures for multiple systems using various design
patterns.
• Investigating legacy code and mending it to make it performant and
stable.
• Leading a team of developers:
     • Performing regular code reviews and pair programming sessions.
     • Representing the department in meetings with highly ranked officers.
     • Guiding the department teams in all technological matters.

Hey, I’m Lev, a Tech Lead and co-founder of Metamindz.

I started my career serving in the Military, as a Tech Lead, before coming to the UK on a Global Talent Visa in 2016.

Whilst I was working as an ad-hoc CTO for startups, I eventually decided to scale up my agency Metamindz in 2022.

We help agencies and startups engage with the right technical expertise to deliver effectively on projects for their clients, through:

- Raising investment
- Identifying ways to save extensive costs in tech
- Interviewing, hiring and onboarding technical talent & technical co-founders

Since July 2022, we are now a team of 12 developers across the world, and are currently working on 15 projects with a range of agencies and startups.

46%* of surveyed serving personnel in the 🇬🇧 Armed Forces said they were considering leaving the service, due to the fact that their non serving partner couldn’t find work.

So, to make it super clear:
- People go to the military to protect this country
- Their partners cannot find work, because they need to keep moving / work remotely, and too many jobs do NOT offer remote work
- As a result, the serving people consider LEAVING THE FORCE.
- This leaves us in a very bad place, defence-wise, especially nowadays when the world is the most dangerous it's been since WW2.

This is insane. Literally half the forces could be gone because of this. 

And it is SO EASY to fix, that it's just unbelievable:
1. Make sure your workplace offers fully remote work, wherever possible
2. Make sure your hiring managers are aware of Recruit for Spouses, and are familiar with the issue.

Hysteria and tears due to price changes in Vercel  - here are my two cents; 
TL;DR - Thank you, free markets and capitalism, for the healthy & competitive environment we live in. I would rather have that, and change providers, than a single monopoly or state-controlled tools.

Vercel’s changes meant the reduction of price for some, and an increase for others. Naturally, those with the price increase are outraged.
The bigger picture is that thanks to the need to innovate and improve, Vercel takes 5 mins to onboard, and 10 mins to switch to something else. There are like 3 other “Vercels” that anyone can switch to in literally a few minutes; Fly.io , Railway ,  Heroku  - just to name a few. All trying to outbid each other and become your next PaaS and IaaS.
Cloudflare CDN and static hosting are free.

If Vercel is good for you - enjoy.
If its not - switch, and save.

No reason for the mass hysteria.

Googled 'mechanical keyboard comparison' once, and am now constantly targeted by these, for MONTHS already. They'll break me one day 😅 
LinkedIn people - pls share your recommendations (or advices AGAINST) a good, productivity-focused keyboard for a hardcore mac user. Don't care about games or anything like that. 

MVPs shouldn't go to the bin, unless the business pivots to something else.
Way too often I've seen agencies & devs building MVPs in a 'poor' way (and that's a nice way of putting it), because 'who cares, it will go to the bin anyway when you get PMF and fundraise'.

I disagree.

There's absolutely NO reason that your MVP should go to the bin, unless your business model or product change dramatically. And even then, a lot of boilerplate (like signup, subscriptions management, emails, etc) - can and should stay the same. If done right, that should be a given, with 0 extra effort on the dev side.

If someone's quoting you to do a poor job, don't work with them. 
You can stay agile & lean (as a startup should) without compromising on quality, and forcing yourself to rewrite the next version of your app.
When you're investing in something, especially at an early stage when money is tight, it's important to NOT buy garbage.
