When I first started in e-com, I was completely overwhelmed. And honestly? It felt like I was juggling a million things at once. Choosing the right product, setting up a website, figuring out marketing... you name it. There was always something that needed my attention. It was a LOOOOT. and I was constantly wondering if I was doing everything right. But here's the thing: I wasn't alone in feeling like this. I know so many entrepreneurs feel the exact same way when they start. So, here’s what helped me get through it. My first product launch? yeah, it flopped. Big time. 😔 I put in hours of work, spent money I could barely afford, and thought I had everything figured out… but when it was time to launch, the sales barely trickled in. It was tough. But here’s where the real lesson came in: “That failure wasn’t the end. It was just the beginning” Instead of giving up, I took a step back and asked myself: What went wrong? What could I have done differently? The biggest thing I learned was the power of feedback and pivoting. - I reached out to my customers - Asked them why they didn’t buy - Took a long hard look at my strategy Turns out, my messaging wasn’t hitting the mark. My product wasn’t the problem. It was how I was presenting it. Here’s how I turned that failure into ➜ a stepping stone for success: 1) Talk to your customers – I reached out to those who didn’t buy and asked for feedback. (the insights I got were priceless) 2) Tweak and test – Based on what I learned, I adjusted my approach. Whether it was the product presentation, the marketing message, or even the pricing. (small changes made a hugeee difference) 3) It took multiple attempts, but I kept refining, learning, and improving. (i believe that each “failure” was just a chance to get closer to success) That first flop taught me one thing for sure: Success isn’t a straight line. It’s messy, unpredictable, and full of lessons (only if you’re open to them) So, if you're feeling stuck or frustrated on your e-com journey right now. Remember this: Every failure brings you one step closer to getting it right. What lessons did you learn from your first product launch or business setback? Let’s share, so we can all grow together. 👇
One common mistake I see with e-commerce brands? They replace proven messaging with "creative" copy—without validating it first. 🤦♂️ Creativity is important. but it’s only effective if it resonates with your audience. Creativity ≠ Conversions Just because a line sounds clever ≠ doesn’t mean it’ll convert. 🙅♂️ I get it. You want to stand out and grab your customer’s attention. But the real goal is for that creativity to drive people to take action, right? So, how do you make sure your new copy is actually working? 🤔 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 “𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵”: 1. A/B testing This is your best friend when it comes to testing new copy. Split your audience into two groups and test different versions of your message. ➜ One version is more creative ➜ The other is more straightforward Then compare the conversion rates. Simple. ( see which one performs better) 2. Feedback from real customers Before rolling out new copy to everyone. Test it with a small group of existing customers. Ask them: > Does it make sense? > Is it compelling? > Does it resonate with your needs? Their feedback is gold. 3. Track engagement metrics Keep a close eye on your key metrics, like: 👁️👁️ > click-through rates > bounce rates > time spent on page > conversion rate If your new copy makes people stay longer or click more. You’re hitting the mark! 💯 If not, it might need a little tweaking. 4. Emotional Appeal Creative copy can definitely stand out. BUT it needs to speak to your target customer’s emotions. Whether: > you're addressing pain points > offering a solution Make sure your message connects with how they feel. That emotional pull is what drives action. 5. Avoid over-complicating Creativity should enhance your message. Not confuse it. 😵 If your creative copy is too abstract or vague. It could hurt your conversion rates. ✅ Always aim for clarity and simplicity. Takeaway: Creativity without validation is a gamble. Always test your new messaging before rolling it out to the masses. It’s all about finding the balance between creativity and what your audience actually responds to. Have you tested your copy lately? What’s worked for you? Let me know in the comments. 👇
I spent $10,000 testing Black Friday strategies. Here's what actually works (and converts) Our AOV Boosting cheat sheet 🤑👇
Looking at one of my client’s Shopify dashboard this morning hits different. $1,748,989.63 in total sales. 770,566 sessions. 41,306 orders. Our journey wasn't linear. It was brutal. The first 6 months: Barely breaking $20K/month Conversion rate dropped from 11.88% to 4.92% Average order value stuck at $34.11 Then we discovered something money-changing: It's not about more traffic. It's about SMARTER testing. What we did was: 1) Systematically tested every part of our funnel 2) Used data-driven A/B testing 3) Focused on compound gains, not quick wins Result? Revenue shot up like a hockey stick in Q4 2024. The secret behind this massive growth? Our proprietary A/B testing calculator that predicted EXACTLY which tests would drive revenue. 🎁 I'm giving away our A/B Test Revenue Calculator (the exact one that helped us hit $1.7M)📈 Want it? Drop a "SCALE" below to get: - Revenue projection spreadsheet - 3 proven testing methodologies - Forward & backward revenue calculation formulas Stop gambling with your tests. POV: You're still using 'Customers love us!' in 2024 Me: intense cringing 😬 Let me save your conversion rate real quick... Stop throwing random, feel-good testimonials around. 👉🏻 Start flashing proof that actually hits. (the kind of proof that stops people from scrolling) Use this Solvexmedia formula: [Quantity] + [Specific Benefit] = 💰 (aka, social proof that converts). Here’s what you’re probably doing right now: Unoptimized social proof: ❌ "Trusted by thousands" ❌ "5-star rated" ❌ "Customers love us!" (yawn... who doesn't say this?) Strong, optimized social proof: ✅ "1+ Million smiles whitened" ✅ "47,283 headaches cured" ✅ "98,532 peaceful nights delivered" Feel the difference? Numbers + Outcomes = Trust that sticks 📈. Here's your homework: Plug your brand into this template: "[X] [specific results] achieved" Examples by Industry: For fitness: "312,847 pounds lost" 🏋️♂️ For fashion: "89,432 perfect fits found" 👔 For kitchen: "2M+ recipes mastered" 🍳 So stop settling for “Customers love us”. Start showing them exactly why that’s true—with numbers that prove it.
Have you ever wondered why you tend to choose the middle option? 🤔 Whenever you are: • feeling overwhelmed by too many choices • trying to make a decision quickly without overthinking You might think it's just a preference. But It's actually decoy pricing at work. What exactly is Decoy Pricing ? It’s a strategy where you add a high-priced option (the “decoy”) to make the middle option feel like the most reasonable and best deal. You don’t sell the decoy. ✋🏻 It just makes the next choice look ✨way better✨. Many brands and online stores do this to make their pricing more enticing to customers.. So, how can you make it work? 1. Decoy Option - introduce an overpriced, unattractive product that no one will actually buy. 2. Middle Option - suddenly, this looks like the smart choice. (it’s not too cheap, not too expensive) 3. Low-Priced Option - low-end option now seems too cheap and less valuable in comparison. ✅ Boosts Average Order Value (AOV) ✅ Reduces Decision Fatigue ✅ Makes people feel confident that they’re getting the best deal. This is how you guide customers to the best deal. Simple psychology = smarter pricing strategies = more sales.
ASOS: Masters of manipulation 😈 or just really good at UX? 🥇 Their website is designed to keep you scrolling (and spending) Here’s how these 'quick shortcuts' that keep you addicted: 💉🤑 1. The alluring discount ⤷ "Up to 70% off" is a classic marketing ploy, but it works. It's hard to resist a good deal, even if you don't really need it. 2. Convenience is key (and addictive) Those account and shopping bag icons? ⤷ They're designed for speed and efficiency, making it dangerously easy to check out. 3. The power of the button ⤷ Call-to-action buttons are like subtle commands, urging you to click and explore. It's a simple but effective way to guide user behavior. 4. New customer bait & App enticement ⤷ First-time discounts and app-exclusive offers are designed to turn casual browsers into loyal customers. It's a clever strategy. 5. Global domination ⤷ International site links are essential for reaching a wider audience. ASOS's global approach is a key part of their success. 6. Organized temptation ⤷ "Shop by Product" categories are essential for navigating the vast selection. It keeps the browsing experience manageable (and encourages more browsing). 7. Size matters (and so does filtering) ⤷ Size filters are a must-have for online clothing stores. ASOS knows this and makes it easy to find your fit. 8. Budget-friendly temptation ⤷ Price filters are a double-edged sword. They help you stick to your budget. but they also make it easier to find things you want (even if you don't need them). 9. Self-service (and self-sufficient) ⤷ FAQs are a valuable resource, but they also reduce the need for human interaction. It's efficient, but it can also feel a bit impersonal. In conclusion: ASOS's website is a masterclass in user experience. Whether it's manipulative or just smart design is up for debate. But one thing's for sure: it's effective.
How Starbucks turned 217 rejections into a $115 billion brand. Howard Schultz faced 217 rejections when pitching Starbucks to investors. being told "no" over and over. But Schultz didn’t give up. Instead, he turned rejection as breakfast and built a $115 billion empire. Here’s how 👇
How being terrible at gaming accidentally made a $27.7 billion tech empire. 🔥🔥 Slack didn’t start as a messaging platform. In fact, it wasn’t even meant to be a business tool at all. Yes, you read that right—a game. But when the game failed, the creators had a revelation: The team communication tool they had built for the game’s development could be far more valuable as a product in itself. Fast forward to today... Slack is one of the most widely used communication platforms for businesses. Getting acquired by Salesforce for a staggering $27.7 billion. So, what’s the lesson here? 🤓💡 It’s okay to start in the wrong direction. The founders didn’t set out to build Slack. They stumbled upon its value when they pivoted. You might think you’re building one thing, only to realize that something you’ve already created is even more powerful. The key takeaway: ➜ Stay open to new opportunities. Don’t be afraid to shift gears when you discover a better path. Sometimes, the best ideas don’t come from a grand vision. (they come from the willingness to adapt)
What if the biggest obstacle to success is not the economy, but your mindset? In my early career, I faced a significant setback. But it wasn’t the failure itself that held me back – it was how I viewed it. Here’s how shifting my perspective helped me bounce back and grow. Back to the early days of my career. I was hustling, grinding, putting in the hours, but things just weren’t clicking. Hard work, no results. I hit a big setback and felt like I was going nowhere. But I realized now that—it wasn’t the failure that held me back. It was how I was thinking about it. I was viewing failure as the end of the road. I thought, “Maybe I’m not cut out for this.” I started doubting my abilities and my future. I saw every mistake as a permanent mark... I let my failures shape my mindset. Then, a mentor said something that changed everything: “You’re focusing on the wrong thing. Don’t let the setback define you, let it refine you.” That’s when it hit me. It wasn’t the economy, the market, or even the competition that was holding me back. It was my mindset. Once I changed how I saw failure, everything changed. Instead of a roadblock, I saw it as feedback. “What can I learn from this? How can I improve next time?” For example, I remember trying to launch a new product. It flopped. I spent hours thinking it was the worst idea ever. But after shifting my mindset, I realized that failure wasn’t the end. It was the perfect opportunity to listen, tweak, and try again with better insights. (and guess what?) The next launch was a hit. Huge success. That shift in perspective made all the difference. It wasn’t about avoiding mistakes or setbacks. It was about how I responded to them. A positive, growth-oriented mindset became my most powerful tool. So, next time you hit a bump, ask yourself: “Is it really the outside world holding you back, or is it your mindset?” Trust me, mindset is everything. If I can do it, so can you. Shift from "I can't" to "I'm learning and growing."
74.9 % of e-com brands are measuring EVERYTHING wrong. (and losing millions 😬) Don’t let that be you. I’ve helped my clients flip the script with 5 proven KPIs— and the formulas to get that sweet revenue (and growth) 👇
What type of e-commerce brand owner are you? 🤔 After helping tons of brands, I’ve learned one thing: ➜ each owner has their own playbook. Identify your style below. (and watch your growth strategy click into place)
What I’d change on your landing page in 10 minutes. ⏱️ If I had just 10 minutes to improve your landing page. Here's exactly what I'd focus on: 𝟭) 𝗙𝗶𝘅 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 Your headline is the first thing visitors see. It has to grab attention immediately. I’d make sure it's: - clear - benefit-driven - speaks directly to your target customer’s pain points No fluff. No jargon. Just a bold statement that shows how your product solves their problem. 🔥 𝟮) 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗳𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗽𝘆 Visitors don’t have time to read paragraphs. Get straight to the point. (so get to the point ASAP) I’d cut the fluff and make your messaging punchier: - key benefits - outcomes - a tone that speaks directly to your audience Less is more. Make every word count. 𝟯) 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗧𝗔 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝘁 Is your CTA crystal clear? If not, I’d make sure it's: - bold - actionable - clickable - strategically placed throughout the page No generic "Submit/Buy Now" buttons. A compelling CTA like "Get Started," "Claim Your Offer," or "See It In Action" is far more effective. 𝟰) 𝗔𝗱𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗳 People trust what others say about you. I’d throw in a few: - customer testimonials - reviews - trust badges ...to show that other people love what you do. Social proof builds instant credibility and trust, which is key to convincing visitors to take action. 𝟱) 𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗱. Your page needs to load in 3 seconds or less. I’d check your mobile optimization too, making sure your page is: - responsive - easy to navigate on any device Slow pages = lost sales. Simple as that. 𝟲) 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 I’d cut anything that doesn’t serve the main goal of the page, such as: - unnecessary pop-ups - excessive navigation links Your landing page should have one clear goal, and everything should guide your visitor toward it. 𝟳) 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹𝘀 Are your images, videos, and graphics aligned with your message? I’d make sure they: - showcase your product in action - create an emotional connection If they don’t, I’d swap them out for visuals that better support the offer. In just 10 minutes, you can make these tweaks and see a noticeable improvement in your conversions. It’s all about making it EASIER for visitors to say “Yes” to your offer. 😎👌🔥
