The most profitable ad format in the world isn’t what you think 👀

Let’s be real, how many times have we scrolled past product ads that look like someone literally exported them straight from their site?

They’re everywhere. 

And yet, brands keep running them - spending £££, missing opportunities, and letting amazing products fade into the background

I recently got introduced to Marpipe and it’s basically a glow-up for your product ads [ad] 💫

But not just any ads, an ad type that is FAR more profitable than any other ad in the world & could be your most powerful marketing asset 

They’re called catalog ads

It’s not just about making ads look nice (though it does that too), it’s about giving you control, testing smarter, and actually seeing what resonates with your audience

A few things to keep in mind when creating ads:

What I wish I knew when I first started in marketing ↓

Even 30 minutes a day can make a difference, if you’re being intentional. Engage meaningfully, don’t just scroll!

💬 Comment > Post (at first)
Thoughtful comments on the right people’s posts will get you noticed more than most new posts. Treat them like mini-posts that build your name

✏️ Don’t stress about posting daily.
1-2 good posts a week is more than enough. Share a lesson, a personal insight, or something that genuinely helped you, that’s what sticks with people

💬 Take conversations to the DMs
Connected with someone? Like a someone’s content? TELL THEM !!!

🧠 Document, don’t overthink
Don’t wait for the perfect hook or angle. Share what you’re building, learning, struggling with. That’s what resonates most & progress > perfection, always!

Honestly, it’s not about growth hacks..
It’s about showing up consistently, with value, honesty, and your actual voice
That’s what builds a brand that lasts 🤎

B2B marketing is boring…
...unless you know how to make it light-hearted & humorous

With my new role being in the B2B space, I’ve been spending a lot more time thinking about how humour fits into brand strategy - especially when the default understanding is often “serious = credible.”

But here’s the truth:
Humour doesn’t make you less professional. It makes you more human

And according to Planable’s new resource “Am I Funny? A Brand Test for Humor in Social Media Campaigns,” nearly 8 out of 10 people said a brand’s humour actually pushed them to try or buy something [ad] ✨

So yes, the joke can sell 👀

Here’s how to make humour work with your brand (not against it):

→ Keep it playful: Humour works when it surprises people, not when it stings. The goal isn’t to roast your audience - it’s to make them smirk, nod, and think, “okay that’s clever.”

→ Make it make sense: Funny for the sake of funny? Pass. The best kind of humour builds on your message - not distracts from it. If the joke doesn’t connect back to your product or point in anyway, it’s just noise

→ Match your tone everywhere
If your socials are cracking jokes but your emails read like a corporate press release… we’ve got a problem. Keep the same energy across your touchpoints because consistency is what makes humour feel intentional, not accidental.

The goal isn’t to be a comedian - it’s to connect, in a way that feels authentic

Because even in B2B, people shouldn’t just share case studies; they should also share things that make them feel something (or laugh out loud at their desks)
