I am responsible for many terrible things in the world. It didn't start that way. I actually started as a go lucky fool without a care. I also was homeless, but worse, useless. It took me getting into a catastrophic car accident and talking with what I only can assume to be God to realize it. Today I measure my efficacy by my ability to accomplish what others think are impossible. But it took me becoming a Monster; Relentless, focused, never quitting version of myself. I am Kenneth C. Barrios II, but most people know me as KB. My career in the Air Force spanned over 20 years as an Intelligence Specialist, with a keen focus on the human and cognitive domain. My expertise in Analytic Methodologies, High-Stakes Decision Making, Predictive Analysis, Advanced Technology Application, Negotiation Tactics, Covert Elicitation, and Intelligence Collection and Research has been instrumental in disrupting terrorist networks across the Middle East and Europe. During this time I was a trusted advisor to executive level decision makers controlling millions of dollars of assets in high risk environments providing them the exact information and guidance they needed to achieve successful implementation of national security objectives. I took that experience in deeply understanding human behavior and patterns and applied to my second passion of leadership development. It was about year 15 of my Air Force career that I got my first mentor. With him and 6 others, we created a leadership development movement that is still going strong today. The Airpower Leadership Academy (ALA), continues to change lives on every base in the Air Force without the traditional top-down approach to professional development that is good, but often misses the mark. When I retired, I continued with that passion as became a Maxwell Certified Leadership Trainer and a Corporate Facilitator with the John C. Maxwell organization. I serve as a Solutions Consultant.
