Data Scientist with 20+ years of experience working in sports medicine with a focus on optimizing elite athletic performance. I have traveled domestically & internationally taking care of our best athletes and elite warfighters, and have hands-on experience leading a multi-disciplinary human performance team. My experiences in high-performance sports medicine have introduced me to Data Science, Psychophysiology, and Sports Science, and I have found myself venturing down the rabbit hole and into the vast world of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. My curiosity began with self-study courses in data science, which led to the completion of an M.S. in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. I have gained proficiency using tools such as Python, SQL, Tableau, and PyTorch, and I have enjoyed learning how to clean, prepare, and visualize a dataset. I have also really enjoyed learning to build neural networks and deep learning pipelines, in addition to applying traditional machine learning algorithms to help gain insights from a dataset and build tools to solve problems. These experiences have fostered a deep interest in AI research and applied AI/ML in the areas of aerospace, defense, and biotechnology.
