GSE Technician

Working in a team environment with the responsibilities to perform preventive (scheduled) and corrective (unscheduled) maintenance of Ground Support Equipment (GSEs) to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-efficient equipment is provided for Ground Operations i.e

i. Ensuring that operating procedures are followed, and safe working practices are strictly adhered to. 
ii. Diagnosing, Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining GSE such as Tractors, Stairs, Belt Loaders, High Loaders, GPU, ACU, ASU, Airport buses, and other Heavy-Duty Equipment / Ground Support Equipment.
iii. Consulting with the manufacturer on the installations and modifications of current electrical controls and systems.
iv. Providing emergency/unscheduled and scheduled maintenance repairs of equipment and facilities.
v. Completing daily work log and work order paperwork for tasks accomplished during a shift
vi. Diagnosing and repairing mechanical systems such as powertrain, fuel system, hydraulics, pneumatics, brake/steering/suspension, etc.
vii. Overhauling of mechanical components such as engines, transmissions, differentials, hydraulic motors, pumps, etc. 
viii. Repairing and overhauling of electrical components such as starters, alternators, electric motors, etc
ix. Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and troubleshooting charts and clearing fault error codes.
x. Responsible for the health and safety duty of care at the workplace.
xi. Ensuring that safety and security procedures are always complied with while conducting assigned responsibilities.
xii. Ensure to report any hazards, incidents, injuries, ill-health, or near miss to management/safety teams

Working in a team environment performing all maintenance tasks:
• Performing preventive and corrective maintenance of Company Equipments e.g engine overhauling, diagnosis, troubleshooting and clearing of error codes, servicing of equipment, repair of differential and gearbox system, repair of brake systems, fuel systems, steering systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, etc.
• Supervising, managing, designing, planning, and organizing work schedules to be performed.
• Preparing daily maintenance, material & labor costs reports of work performed.
• Assisting in the procurement of spare parts, lubricants, and materials.
• Monitoring and evaluation of spare parts and all lubricants.

 Assisted in the design and manufacturing of small hydropower plants

Mechanical Engineer with over six (6) years of experience in performing preventive and corrective maintenance activities of Port Machinery Fleets, Construction Fleets, and Ground Support Equipment(GSE) with Managerial plus Technical documentation experience such as monitoring and evaluation of materials and labor costs reports, keep track of equipment logbook and fuel log as well as order and supervise the proper use of fuel on equipment, design work structures, plan, and supervise employees' duties and safety at work, ensuring the procurement of quality and the right spare parts, materials are in stock and available for equipment maintenance.
