Born and raised in Ohio I am a Buckeye through and through! I have been married for 18 years, and have 4 active children in school, they are in grades 9th, 8th, 4th and Kindergarten. Professionally I have always been drawn to education and leadership. The problem was that my leadership was very accidental and not always healthy. It was five and a half years ago when I took over a non-profit where I inherited a culture that wasn't healthy. I was the new Executive Director and I was asked, "Lesley, what kind of leader are you?" I didn't know how to answer that question and so I started my journey to discover who I was as a leader so that I could create a culture where I wanted to work. I started working with a coach from GiANT Worldwide and every time I would learn a tool I would take that tool and implement it with my staff. I was discovering my own leadership voice, learning ways to be a healthy leader and in turn multiplying that heath to those I led. There was a shift on our team and if felt like we were finally all in the right seat on the bus and the bus was going the right direction. Shortly after we hit our "golden year" - the year I had a staff that was amazing, that worked together, that lived into the healthy culture that had been created - I found out we were moving for my husbands job - back to Columbus (Sunbury). I wasn't ready to leave it all behind. I couldn't take the non-profit with me but I could take the lessons I learned and GiANT with me. AND that's what I did! I became a Certified Leadership Coach through GiANT Worldwide. I am passionate about what I do because I've seen the transformation GiANT and our tools can make in individuals, teams and whole organizations! I get to help leaders get healthy and become leaders who are WORTH following!
