After a successful career in executive leadership roles in the banking industry, I began my journey as a serial entrepreneur. I built a national brand, redefined the industry, and owned a significant share of the market, but more importantly, I learned the importance of CEO well-being and mental fitness. I have had successes and some notable failures, and it was through the failures I discovered how crucial well-being, performance, and life satisfaction are to the success of your organization. As a CEO, it is your responsibility to take care of yourself. "To do what best for your company, you have to first do what's best for you." That means to prioritize your self-care. It may sound selfish, but trust me, it's not. Pay attention to your nourishment, training, sleep, breathing, hydration, stress, supplementation and so on. When you do you'll "Live and Lead Better." Through connecting CEOs, I strive to create an environment where business leaders who want a remarkable life and company can get vulnerable and face the largest challenges and opportunities head on. My clients are looking to grow personally and professionally, are self-aware, hold each other accountable, and are eager to learn. Passionate about health and wellness, I train for Spartan Races for a mental and physical challenge. Pushing myself to the limit has been instrumental in my journey to becoming the strongest version of myself. Additionally, traveling and exploring new locations, shops, shows, and food is one of my favorite pastimes. Exponential growth happens when leaders take care of themselves. High-stakes leadership is a mental battlefield. If you’re not training for it, you’re already losing. CEOs make high-stakes decisions every day. But most never train their mind like the asset it is. • They refine operations. • They prepare for strategy. • They execute at a high level. But mental resilience? Left to chance. I used to be the same way. Until I started training for Spartan Races. I thought it was just physical. I was wrong! What Spartan Races actually taught me: 1 - When discomfort sets in, do I quit or adapt? 2 - When exhaustion hits, do I push through or give in? 3 - When things go wrong, do I react or stay clear-headed? Leadership is no different. Top leaders train their minds before pressure tests them. For me, that means: → Pushing limits to sharpen resilience. → Building discipline daily so tough decisions feel easier. → Training stress tolerance so pressure doesn’t break me. Train your mind and body like the assets they are. Because in high-stakes leadership, the unprepared don’t get second chances. #CEO #Leadership #MentalFitness #DecisionMaking #HighPerformance #SpartanRace
Most CEOs think their biggest risk is competition or market shifts. But the real threat is in their own mind… And they don’t even see it. • The more exhausted you are → the worse your decisions get. • The worse your decisions get → the harder your job becomes. • It’s a downward spiral → one that takes down even the best CEOs. Mental fatigue doesn’t show up with flashing warning signs. It creeps in through: → Slower thinking. → Reactionary leadership. → Loss of strategic clarity. And here’s the real cost: By the time you feel it, your performance has already dropped. Top CEOs don’t just manage companies → they manage themselves. They treat mental clarity like a competitive advantage → because it is one. So how do you protect it? 1 - Prioritize recovery: Sleep isn’t a luxury, it’s fuel for high-stakes decisions. 2 - Train like an athlete: Physical fitness isn’t just for health, it sharpens your mind. 3 - Master your inputs: What you consume (food, information) shapes your output. You can’t lead at your best if you’re operating at your worst. Your business will only be as strong as the mind leading it. #CEO #Leadership #MentalFitness #DecisionMaking #HighPerformance
Left Right Left No, that’s not a military cadence, it’s the order in which we should look before turning at an intersection to avoid a collision. The idea behind the "left-right-left" rule is that since the first potential threat typically comes from vehicles approaching from the left side, you look there first. The analogy holds true for CEO Mental Fitness as well. High-performing CEOs not only see what is in front of them, they are perceptive of the unexpected. They have the ability to see around corners or to read the proverbial tea leaves. Sometimes it feels like a hunch. Other times it’s a “gut feeling” or “the hair on the back of your neck.” These colloquial expressions are actually known as interoception, or the ability to listen to our bodies. Apple was 90 days from bankruptcy… then Steve Jobs made one bold move that changed everything. In 1997, Apple was on the verge of collapse. • Sales were down. • Products were scattered. • The company had lost its identity. Most CEOs in that position would panic. Steve Jobs did the opposite. He didn’t launch a new product. He didn’t expand the business. He didn’t chase more. He cut 70% of Apple’s product line overnight. His focus? →Clarity. →Simplicity. →Execution. By stripping away distractions and doubling down on what mattered most, he set the foundation for Apple’s comeback. Fast forward to today→Apple is worth over $3 trillion. Here’s the lesson: Growth isn’t about doing more. It’s about focusing on what moves the needle. Most CEOs fall into the trap of chasing… More goals. More projects. More strategies. But when everything is a priority, nothing is. High-performance leaders do what Jobs did: → Eliminate distractions. → Clarify what drives results. → Execute with relentless focus. Because the difference between struggling and scaling isn’t effort—it’s clarity. If Steve Jobs was willing to cut 70% of Apple’s products to save the company, what can you learn from him? How can you: Strip away distractions? Refocus on what truly matters? And execute with absolute clarity? #CEO #Leadership #MentalFitness #DecisionMaking #HighPerformance
