I never even dreamed of cracking IIT. Today, IIT chose me as a mentor! Yes, excited to share that I have been a mentor at Eureka! GCC, a flagship event by IIT Bombay, sponsored by GII. It was a humbling experience mentoring Neha Jakhar and Abdullah Arif, 2 young passionate entrepreneurs building startups at an age when people are busy partying & chilling. Kudos to you! Bummed to miss the grand finale this week at Hilton Dubai, but grateful for the amazing opportunity. Thank you Shivam Uppal for the trust & support! #Gratitude #Mentor
I never went to my school, or any school, after my board exams. This was my first time attending one. But in a different country, wearing the hat of a judge & a panellist. 🇦🇪 I opened my company in the UAE with big dreams, but not big enough that I would be recognised as a creator & leader this early in this country. Dreams do come true. :) Thank you Global Indian International School, Abu Dhabi for having me at The Big Pitch Season 3. It was an honour to share the stage with Dr DhavalMody and Ansoo Gupta. Also, I won't leave this chance of appreciating Surya Vignesh for taking such good care of us Vaidya Amol, for your words of wisdom while dropping me back at my place. :) Events like these are boosting the spirit of entrepreneurship and content creation in school kids, which is mind-blowing! Can't wait to be a part of more such opportunities. :) #UAE #Event #AbuDhabi #School

How did this little toy like Labubu build a multi-million dollar hype? I just woke up one day and found from Instagram influencers to celebrities, everyone is flaunting it on thier bags or keychains. Labubu isn’t just a doll anymore. It’s a collectible movement that’s taken over retail shelves, resale markets, and social feeds, contributing significantly to the $25 billion global designer toy industry. While I personally find its hype overrated, I took out some time to study it and here's why I feel it captured the market: 🧸 Limited supply, unlimited demand Labubu thrives on scarcity. Blind boxes, store-exclusive drops, and artificial waitlists have turned this toy into a status symbol. It’s no surprise that resale prices have shot up to 5-10x the original value. 🧸 High emotional ROI It appeals to nostalgia, uniqueness, and the desire to own something others don’t have. A marketing dream. 🧸 Social media as distribution No ads. Just organic virality. From influencers to collectors, Labubu has leveraged UGC better than some luxury brands. But here's the real question: Is Labubu a long-term brand or just a brilliantly executed fad? As someone who works closely with branding and consumer behaviour, I find this brand a perfect example of how culture, community, and commerce intersect. What do you think: Is this going to stay, or is it just a short-term trend? #Labubu #Viral #Marketing
I'm hiring a full-time content strategist and ghostwriter at Sorted Brand. Are you open to a full-time remote role? If yes, sharing some key responsibilities: - Ideating and creating content for social media, mainly LinkedIn and X for profiles mainly of founders, entrepreneurs, and CXOs. - Do ideation, creativity, and brainstorming. - Should be highly aware of trends, startup ecosystem, and current affairs. - Minimum work experience of 6-8 months. - Should be open for a long-term commitment (no freelancers pls who are looking for a gig). If this is you, please DM or email (info@sortedbrand.com) your portfolio & salary expectations. We are looking for immediate joiners! Cheers!
In May, for the first time ever my company account balance got so low that I had to delay salaries for 3 team members. May was expensive. - We hired 3 new team members. - Opened a new office in the UAE. - Invested in my UGC content. - Invested in new tools & systems. Hence, I had to dilute my mutual funds and then pay salaries causing a 2-day delay. Not because I was careless or spending big. But because my company's account had nothing left. The frugal Marwadi in me could not accept this situation. That's when I truly felt what a money crunch means. One of my clients hasn’t paid in 2 months. That one invoice could pay half my team’s salaries. But it's stuck. In a service business, your expenses don’t stop, but your payments can (read as are) be delayed. At the same time : Salaries need to be paid on time. Projects get delayed/cancelled. Personal expenses come up. And boom, even with all the planning...you can suddenly run out of money. And this is the part of entrepreneurship that people don’t talk about. The downside isn’t always failure; it’s the delay. Expenses are permanent, but revenue isn’t. For the first time ever, my company was broke by the end of the month. I never really understood how people in service businesses say they’re broke. I thought it was a cash-rich business until I started expanding my team & scaling my agency. The big moves, the expensive hires, the fancy tools: they are not CHEAP. But totally worth it. I'm sure 6 months down the line I will be proud of these bold moves & out of the comfort zone decisions. How do you handle such times in your company? #agencyowner #businessnowner #entrepreneurship

Spending this month in Dubai, doing back-to-back meetings. Loving the in-person meeting culture (minus heat & distances), culture of inclusivity, and energy of entrepreneurs. If you are also a leader or founder interested in exploring synergies for your personal/company branding & content, let’s catch up over a coffee this week! DM for more. #Dubai #UAE #Entrepreneurship
I am setting up business in Dubai while my team is managing everything from India. (Touchwood touchwood touchwood) 🧿 🧿 But I did not build such an efficient team overnight. See, there's the truth: If you’re worried about everyone's responsibilities at work, you’ve hired the wrong team. I used to be someone who worked 12 hours a day, double-checking every task done by the team, redoing work that didn't meet standards, and whining about being exhausted. I was obviously wrong. The problem wasn't my workload; it was my team. Most founders hire based on skills and experience and then wonder why they're still doing everything themselves. Like a smart entrepreneur I learned from mistakes, so now I hire differently. I look for people with a growth mindset and a desire to learn. I need all-rounders who can adapt, take ownership and avoid blaming others. Excellent interpersonal skills for client interaction are a must. Most importantly, they should be proficient in using AI tools effectively and be able to solve problems independently. It's been amazing. I went from 70-hour weeks to actually having time for myself. Your team should be your biggest asset, not your biggest headache. What's one trait you wish you'd prioritised when hiring? #hiring #entrepreneurship #agencylife
I hired a manager for 9 LPA from one of the top media companies. For a small company like ours, that was a huge investment. I took that bet based on her impressive work experience and excellent communication skills. But unfortunately, it wasn't the right decision. She was used to a comfortable work culture as she worked with a large team, which was not dependent on her for any major responsibilities. She lacked the drive to take our company from 10 to 100. I've learned that promoting from within is better for small companies than hiring externally. Someone who already knows your clients, processes, and culture is usually the best pick, even if their resume isn't fancy. I now build leaders exclusively from my existing team. I look for the hungriest, most curious person who's already proven themselves in our environment. Sometimes when you hire from big organisations, you get someone who's lost that hunger. They come with processes that work for a 100-person team size but fall flat in a company our size. Hiring is always a gamble, but empowering someone already working with you who's eager to learn has worked out way better for us than hiring from a big company. Small business owners: How has your experience been hiring from big companies? #Hiring #Agency #Teambuilding
I'm an agency owner on LinkedIn, a UGC creator on Instagram, and a chill 28-year-old on X. And that's what personal branding is: not being fake, but showing different & real versions of yourself based on the platform. A common mistake I see people making is posting exactly the same stuff everywhere and wondering why it flops. No one wants to see my skincare routine on LinkedIn, but they do want tips on running an agency, so I share those. No one needs my business numbers on Instagram, but they enjoy seeing my day-to-day life. No one expects formal work stuff on X, but they like my honest and random thoughts. In a world where AI can make any content, "just be yourself everywhere" is lazy advice. Real personal branding is simple: • Know what each platform is about • Understand what people there actually want • Show your real side according to the platform When AI can do almost anything, the only thing that makes you stand out is your authenticity, that too in a smart way that fits where you're positioning yourself. How do you change what you share on different platforms? #Instagram #LinkedIn #Contentcreator
