Hi, I'm Manan. 

I am a mechanical engineer with 10 years of experience in automotive and design engineering, and a content creator on LinkedIn.

I also have a YouTube channel where I share the insights on life in Estonia. 

Apart from these things, I have always liked writing. It has been an excellent method of expression for me. 

Little did I know that writing on LinkedIn pays back in the form of revenue, leads and brand awareness.   

So I actively started offering my writing services on LinkedIn when I lost my job in December 2022.

Humans always like to do experiments. 

They try one job, then another and so on. 

Life is a long journey and it's okay to try a lot of things. 

It also depends upon the need of the hour. 

Sometimes you don't choose a job, a job chooses you. 

Only rule?

Whatever you are doing, give it your all.

Don't be afraid, just go with the flow and follow your heart!

In part 3 of my Client Spotlight series, let me introduce you to CF&S Group.

We worked with Kristi Kamp who is the Chief Marketing Officer at CF&S. 

Kristi is an extremely smart individual who appreciates new and unique ideas. 

The best thing about her is that she's not afraid of taking different risks in content creation. 

That's why we see her marketing and work totally out of the box, and the use of bold ideas in marketing campaigns. 

Once she made an advertisement about a logistics manager shown like a top gun pilot.

They have a lot of branches and they keep having new acquisitions, which shows they're huge and their LinkedIn content is equally diversified.

It is a special day which makes me think about how important it is to be with people we care about. 

Some people, especially those working in other countries, can't take the day off to be with their family and friends on Eid. 

I'm lucky to be with my loved ones today, but I know it's hard for those who are alone. 

Let's remember to be kind and supportive to each other, no matter where we are.

This mistake made a CEO’s posts go unnoticed. You better not do the same! 

One day, a CEO complained to me about his content not getting any engagement on LinkedIn. 

He was posting consistently and no doubt, his content was valuable. 

The information shared by him was actually good and deserved lots of engagement. 

But it still wasn't working and he hardly had any likes or comments on his posts. 

I quickly understood what was wrong.

→ Lack of blank spaces 
→ Big chunks of paragraphs 
→ No creative, one-liner hook
→ No use of bullets or pointers 
→ Long sentences and too many jargons

In short, there was no readability in his content which made readers scroll down without reading. 

We started working together and I wrote content for him. 

To his surprise, his posts finally got the love they always deserved. 

So, what did I do to save his posts from going unnoticed? 

I gave them a better structure and improved readability. 

In each post, I added: 

→ Lots of pointers 
→ Interesting hook
→ Shorter sentences 
→ Use of blank spaces 
→ Simple words + phrases  

Remember, when your posts look like lengthy paragraphs just like an article, the audience won't read it. 

They're on LinkedIn, not on a newspaper page. 

Their attention is harder to get because they've tons of options to read. 

You have to grab their attention by making your content reader-friendly. 

You can do that by improving its readability just like I mentioned above.

People, especially the professionals, are highly hesitant to talk about themselves. 

They don't like expressing much and want to stay modest. 

As part of my work it’s my job to not only capture people in words but make it comfortable for them to communicate easily in our first meeting. 

My client, like many others, was hesitant too. 

I hopped on a call with him. 

Asked him some important questions and then started working on his profile. 

He is a Sales Director at a Multinational Modern Timber Company so he wanted me to build his profile accordingly. 

His preference was all in representing him as a professional who's good at his job but, in a humble way. 

He loved the end result which is visible in his feedback.

If your Linkedin about section is just a boring, 4-line description of your previous role, RED FLAG! 🚩

That's not how you write an about section. 

People are using this part in a much better way now that it helps them stand out. 

You can add your professional background, skills and even personal stories to get more clients or land your dream job.  

Here are some quick tips for you on what to mention in an about section. 

→ Share your own relatable story 
→ Talk about your work experience 
→ Write down your best professional skills 
→ Mention your services and the results you promise
→ Add client testimonials to make your word more authentic 

And that's it! 

Make your about section interesting for your target audience. 

Don't just write a short description that hardly tells anything about you. 

→ Add a personal touch 
→ Share your skills and wins
→ Explain what and how of your job 

Trust me it will be a brilliant method to introduce yourself to your future clients.

Pro tip to write a LinkedIn post in just 10 minutes!  

It's “Turn Off the Spell Check & Grammarly Suggestions” and focus only on writing. 

It's a simple hack that I have been using since I started writing for my clients. 

It helps me write each post fast, and effectively without wasting any time. 

What I do is: 👇

→ Open the Google Docs. 

→ Start dumping everything on my mind until I'm done. 

→ Then start the editing part that hardly takes 5 to 7 minutes

This time also depends on how long you have been writing. 

It could be more or less based on your practice.
