I felt broken. I decided to leave my safe zone, suspend my computer and make major changes in my life. This is my story: In Financial Planning I used to spend my time conversing with the KPI's generated in my trusty Excel as I built information cubes and scenarios with different business behavior, in which I could measure the scope of Marketing, Budgeting and Forecast strategies involved, and the business opportunities seized (and those that could be capitalized on). The Marketing KPIs I have measured are: profitable allies and those we can work to exploit their potential, segmentation; through CRM: effectiveness in Call Center of Calls made, Appointments achieved, Attendance to those appointments, Pipeline Leads and Closing % (among others). I have designed strategies derived from conversations with the numbers but, eventually I needed to know the root of why, after having been reading black numbers, after a few months these numbers were red, what was happening? I asked my Manager to allow me to be at the point of sale: by being close to the Customers, I discovered that the whole commercial process must be impeccable and that, in the end, the one who makes the Business grow is the Customer. From the commercial area, my taste began when I found Marketing in the path of my training and I had left it aside, and now I see myself immersed in it and in the sales process. Now I know, from my own experience, that there are no numbers to manage in a P&L if there is no first line: Sales. Through commercial activity, quality processes and customer service I have developed skills to help grow business, enhance brand image and Revenue Management.
