At Unbabel Labs I've done work ranging from Prompt Engineering to VUE frontend, Python backend, design and - mainly - iOS App development using SwiftUI.

The focus has been to do fast but high quality prototyping.

Junior Product Engineer

Developed an end-to-end Slack chatbot where for the backend I got to work with FastAPI, scikit-learn, spaCy and Haystack and, for the frontend, I worked with Tailwind CSS, GSAP, and VUE.

I also had the opportunity to work on the revamp of one of the company's frontends, following the team's development practices.

Software Development Summer Intern

Created a state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence guide to be used by the company explaining what is AI, what is Responsible AI and how to implement Responsible AI models in the existing lifecycles.

Defined what is Responsible AI within the Company following both its Ethics Guidelines and the European Commission  Guidelines for Trustworthy AI.

Implemented a set of tools ready to be used to assist the development of new AI models and the consequent monitoring.

Assessed the use of third-party tools from IBM, Microsoft, Google (and others) to identify and mitigate bias and to assist on Data Governance and AI System's monitoring using Python and Web-based tools.

I was integrated on a dynamic and high-achieving team, leveraging my teamwork capabilities. The whole internship was done with the Scrum methodology.

Artificial Intelligence Intern

Bringing Design, AI and Software together is my full-time passion. I'm currently doing my MSc in Computer Science @IST, focusing my master's thesis in Self-Supervised learning.

Passion, Resilience, Leadership, and Ethics are the terms that have defined my personal and academic journey so far. I have always been eager to learn as much as possible, which led me to grow a  passion for general computer science topics with a greater focus on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Mathematics.
