I am a motivated, driven individual with extensive experience of working within a social care environment. I am an experienced practitioner in Leadership, Anti Racist practice, domestic abuse, forced marriages, HBA, FGM, sexual violence, EDI, safeguarding & vulnerability I have worked at Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing as the national operational lead for safeguarding. MTVH is a large housing provider which covers over 51000 properties and 1800 staff. I have led on Sec 11 audits for LA, DA proactive calls during C19, managing and supporting 18 Designated Safeguarding Leads, contributing to Policy’s & Procedures, Led on IMR report, chairing HR case meetings around safeguarding our customers, offering guidance & support across the Buisness, completing a pilot Da training project in conjunction with a national training provider, leading on commissioning safeguarding adults/children training for staff. I have covered a 6 month maternity post for Safelives as a lead trainer & Assessor over seeing a culture change domestic abuse program focusing on delivering high quality training and consultancy within 3 pilot areas across the UK targeting front line social workers and managers. I have worked for the national charity Victim Support as the equality diversity and inclusion lead and previously was the domestic abuse/ sexual violence / safeguarding lead covering services across the UK. I provide training / consultancy under the banner of H.O.P.E Specialising in safeguarding and domestic/ sexual abuse. I am an associate trainer for Safelives delivering various bespoke packages. In 2017/2018 I delivered a Vulnerability training package for police officers on behalf of college of policing. I have worked on the ethics committee as a independent reference panel member for the national crime (NCA) agency in London. I have also been a lay member of the Bench (Magistrate) sitting in adult and family courts. In April 2020 I lead the Domestic Abuse within Black, and racilaised communities during Covid-19 national meetings being held via Zoom for grass root organisations, individuals, academics and policy makers. I also launched the Digital Art project showcasing #12black women in the VAWG sector in the same year. In 2021/ 22 I started the H.O.P.E leadership project and now lead on a 10 week program for staff wanting to learn more about leadership.
