Even high performers miss this one skill. The top 1% master it: They're coachable. That's what turns raw potential into next-level success. FAST. 5 practices of radically coachable leaders: 1. Seek feedback before it's offered ↳ Don't wait for reviews ↳ Ask specific questions: "What would make this better?" 2. Take immediate action ↳ Don't just nod and agree ↳ Show changes within 24 hours 3. Close the feedback loop ↳ Circle back with results ↳ "Here's what I did with your input..." 4. Diversify your feedback sources ↳ Every perspective matters ↳ Peers see what bosses don't 5. Mine the gold in criticism ↳ Look past the delivery ↳ Ask: "What's the 10% that's true?" The magic isn't in getting feedback. It's in what you do with it. 💡 Pro Tip: Track patterns in feedback.  They reveal your blind spots—and your superpowers. I created the Executive Playbook to help high performers grow faster and become impossible to overlook—without leaving their company, or their sanity behind. ✨ START here: https://lnkd.in/eM98_c6M — ♻️ Repost it to help others grow. ➕ Follow me, Misha Rubin, for executive career strategies that actually work.

The counterintuitive truth about leadership: The fastest way to the top is to replace yourself👇 Here's the 4-step framework I used to fast-track my career growth (and help 100+ leaders do the same)... Most leaders fail because they: • Micromanage everything • Stay in the weeds too long • Can't let go of control Top 1% leaders do the opposite. They build teams that make them irrelevant. (So they can focus on what actually matters) The Career Multiplier Framework: 1. Hire for growth, not comfort. ↳ I once hired someone who intimidated me ↳ She ended up 2X'ing our team's output ↳ Now I only hire people who scare me a little 2. Coach like a multiplier. ↳ Turn every 1:1 into a growth lab ↳ Build decision-makers, not task-completers ↳ Use the 70/30 rule: They talk 70% of the time 3. Delegate like a chess master. ↳ Transfer ownership, not just tasks ↳ Share the "why" behind decisions ↳ Give them your best projects (yes, really) 4. Reclaim strategic space. With your new free time: • Spot market shifts before others • Build cross-functional influence • Position yourself for silent promotions 🔥 Pro tip that changed my career: If your team still needs you for daily decisions, you're not ready for the next level. — I created the Executive Playbook to help executives and high performers grow exponentially, without leaving their company or sanity behind.  🌟 Start here: https://lnkd.in/ezyEqRHr ♻️ Repost it to help others grow. ➕ Follow me, Misha Rubin, for executive career strategies that actually work.

Failure is your greatest teacher. 9 ways to use failure for growth: 1. Use it as Fuel ↳ Turn setbacks into firepower. Rather than letting a setback keep you down, allow it to spark motivation to tackle the next challenge. 2. Flip the Script ↳ Don’t just ‘see the bright side’—create one. Use the bad to reinvent your goals. 3. Challenge Assumptions ↳ Force yourself to ask if you are doing it all wrong. A different angle can unlock answers. 4. Control One Thing ↳ When everything else feels like chaos, double down on one thing you can change. Move forward fast. 5. Break Your Own Rules ↳ If the old ways aren’t working, throw out the playbook. Experiment with a completely different approach. 6. Be Ruthlessly Selective ↳ Cut distractions mercilessly. In a storm, clarity is survival. 7. Engage for the Future ↳ Treat every interaction as a stepping stone for what’s next. People remember how you handle tough times. 8. Own the Outcome ↳ Success or failure, commit fully. No excuses, no half-measures. It’s all feedback. 9. Test the Extreme ↳ Challenge yourself: What would the extreme version of my solution look like? It might just be crazy enough to work. Redefine “making the best” as taking the best out of every situation. Your Next-Level Role could be closer than you think... Crossroads don’t have to be hard. Not if you have the right key: CLARITY. But most execs, even the successful ones, stay stuck for far too long. They: → Compromise too much → Quietly give up on dreams → Accumulate regrets that stack up year after year Not because they’re incapable. Not because they’re cowards. But because no one ever taught them how to get clear. How to make aligned decisions. How to know the difference between persistence and misalignment. The truth? You don’t need another pep talk. You need a process. ⸻ 🧲 This Thursday, I’m hosting an exclusive conversation for executives and high performers who feel this exact tension. What we’ll tackle: 1️⃣ Decision traps most high performers fall into 2️⃣ A 4-ingredient framework to bring clarity to your next move 3️⃣ How to align your next step with your values, vision, and future self No pitch. No pressure. Just real talk about what’s next. 🧲 Claim your spot → https://lnkd.in/egxRVHXP (Limited to 50. Filling up fast.) ♻️ Share it to help others grow.

8 Reasons Smart People Make Decisions They Regret (Even When They Know Better) The sharpest minds often get stuck. Not from lack of intelligence, but because no one teaches us how to decide when the stakes are personal. Here's what I've seen coaching leaders through crossroads👇 1. They Confuse Momentum with Alignment "I'm successful, so this must be right." → But movement without meaning creates burnout → Alignment creates sustainable success [67% of executives report feeling this trap] 2. They Optimize for "Should" Over "Want" Promotions. Titles. Status. None of it matters if it costs your soul. → Want > Should. Always. → Your future self will thank you for being brave 3. They Wait for Certainty "Just one more pro/con list." "Let me think about it longer." → Smart decisions are made in motion, not in pause → Clarity comes from action, not analysis 4. They Ask the Wrong People Taking life advice from people who never took risks? That's like learning to fly from someone who's never left the ground. → Seek guidance from those living the life you want → Your bold move needs mentors, not critics 5. They Let Identity Trap Them "I'm a lawyer." "I'm a VP." "I've invested too much to change now." → You're more than your job title → Your next chapter doesn't need to match your last 6. They Lack a Decision Framework They either wing it or overthink it. There's no in-between. → Strategy brings freedom → Framework beats willpower every time 7. They Ignore the Whispers Those Sunday night thoughts? That pit in your stomach? → What you suppress today becomes regret tomorrow → The whispers always become shouts 8. They Fear the Wrong Regret Failure isn't the worst outcome. → The deepest regret is not knowing what could have been → Safety and fulfillment rarely live at the same address Join live event: "How to Make the Best Career & Life Decisions — And Avoid Regret" You'll learn: → The exact framework I use with Fortune 500 leaders → How to distinguish between fear and intuition → The 3 questions that eliminate decision paralysis → Why traditional decision-making advice fails Limited to 50 spots. Claim your spot: https://lnkd.in/emEXA5Wk P.S. You don't need to be perfect to make better decisions. You just need clarity, a framework, and the courage to trust yourself again. ➕ Follow Misha Rubin for frameworks that turn clarity into confidence.

12 years ago, I made Partner at EY. Then, I walked away. It’s time to reintroduce myself: I’m Misha — a What’s-Next Coach for ambitious execs. You’ve probably seen my posts about career strategy, reinvention, and fast-tracking. But here’s what you might not know: 12 years ago, I made Partner at Ernst & Young. (Wooh — yeah, that took something.) I advised top Wall Street firms. Led global teams. Checked every “success” box. And then… I took a leap most wouldn’t. ⤴️ I left that Partner role to build something different: A coaching and education company that helps high performers build careers that match their ambition, values, and future vision. ⸻ 👉 Since then, I’ve: • Led CEOs, COOs, MDs, and VPs through bold, career-defining transitions • Helped 100s land promotions, pivot roles, 2X comp, and launch businesses • Created proprietary methodologies that drive results • Reached 15M+ on LinkedIn this past year • Founded nonprofit helping 1,000s of Ukrainian children And I did it all while being the primary caregiver to 3 kids (we adopted 3 in 2 years — yes, you read that right) + a dog 🐕 + a cat 🐈‍⬛ Oh — and I released a music album 💿 somewhere in there too. As one of my clients said: “Misha walks the talk.” ⸻ Here’s what I’ve learned: Most professionals aren’t lacking ambition. They’re missing a strategy that fits who they’ve become. If you’re new here (or ready to go deeper): ⸻ 1️⃣ Stop asking “What’s next?” in your head. Start designing your career with the same clarity you'd bring to business. Clarity isn’t a lightbulb — it’s a process. 2️⃣ Promotions aren’t about merit. They’re about perception, politics, timing, and power. If you want to stop being overlooked, start being impossible to ignore. 3️⃣ Forget the ladder. Build your prototype. Most career advice is outdated. You need a strategy that fits your values, momentum, and vision. ⸻ I built this for the leader I was — and the one I wanted to become. If that sounds like you? You’re in the right place. I created the Executive Playbook to help high performers grow faster and become impossible to overlook—without leaving their company, or their sanity behind. ✨ START here: https://lnkd.in/eXsbeZ8G 📩 Or DM me if you’re ready for your next leap. — ♻️ Repost to help others grow ➕ Follow me, Misha Rubin, for executive career strategies that actually work.

Many myths in life sound true…until they don’t. 5 myths that destroy executive careers: 1. “Results speak for themselves.” ↳ Only if the right people know, care, and see you as strategic, not just reliable. 2. “The ladder is linear.” ↳ Smart execs leap, shift lanes, or build their own. Waiting is a trap. 3. “Keep your head down and earn it.” ↳ Heads-down gets you overlooked. Strategic visibility gets you promoted. 4. “Avoid politics.” ↳ If you’re not influencing the game, you’re getting played. Relationships are everything. 5. “There’s a right time to make a move.” ↳ There’s just your time, and it’s created, not granted. Waiting is just another form of hiding. I’ve worked with 100s of ambitious execs. And here’s the harsh truth: Most don’t get stuck because they lack skills. Or don’t work hard enough. Or clash with their boss. They get stuck because no one ever taught them the real rules. I created the Executive Playbook to help high performers grow faster and become impossible to overlook, without leaving their company or sanity behind. ✨ Start here: https://lnkd.in/etHGAPHr Because staying stuck is the most expensive decision you’ll ever make. — ♻️ Repost it to help others grow. ➕ Follow me, Misha Rubin, for executive career strategies that actually work.

The greatest career privilege? Not your title. Not your network. Not even your skills⤵ It’s the advantages you haven’t used yet. 5 Hidden Privileges Most Leaders Waste: 1. Choice Power ❌ Staying in the safe lane ✅ Using your position to create change “I can’t” usually means “I won’t risk it.” 2. Voice Currency ❌ Holding back for the “right time” ✅ Saying what others can’t—while you can Your silence can cost someone else’s growth. 3. Access Leverage ❌ Keeping opportunities to yourself ✅ Sharing doors as you walk through them Success is good. Shared success is legacy. 4. Time Autonomy ❌ “I’m too busy to make an impact” ✅ Making your calendar a force multiplier 15 minutes from you can change someone’s year. 5. Influence Capital ❌ Building your own path ✅ Creating paths for others The true measure of leadership? Who you take with you. Here’s the truth: Your privileges aren’t rewards. They’re tools. Use them... or waste them. Challenge: → Pick ONE power you’ve been sitting on → Take ONE bold action this week → See what it unlocks for you and for others Because you’re not just lucky to be here. You’re responsible for who else gets here. 🧲 Don’t let your hard work go unnoticed! In our 2-dad family, I often have to be “mom.” But that’s not the hardest part: Here’s how it started - A lot can happen in 2 years… but becoming a Partner at EY and adopting 3 kids? That wasn’t a career move. It was a lifequake. And it’s been that way ever since. I’ve stepped into a set of roles I never imagined. That’s why I have an understanding what many executive moms live every single day: → The invisible labor no one thanks you for. → The emotional multitasking that never lets up. → The pressure to lead at work while holding everything together at home. So I’ve learned—sometimes the hard way— that taking care of myself isn’t a luxury. It’s a necessity. For my kids. For my clients. For me. I treat my childcare team as the most important employees of my life. I have honest conversations with my spouse about my needs. And yes, I have a coach—because I need space to think, feel, and grow too. To all the executive moms out there: I may not walk in your shoes every day— but I’ve stepped in just long enough to say: You are seen. You are extraordinary. You are not alone. And I’ll leave you with this: What do you need to keep expanding your big, full, beautiful life? — ♻️ Repost it to celebrate power moms. ➕ Follow me, Misha Rubin, for executive career strategies that actually work.

MIT researchers found something shocking: The brain innovates best during “unfocused” moments: Not in strategy sessions. Not on leadership retreats. But in the quiet gaps between tasks. After 20+ years advising Fortune 500 execs, here’s what I know for sure: Your next breakthrough isn’t hiding in: • Another productivity hack • That bestselling business book • An overpriced mastermind • A better morning routine It’s hiding in the spaces you’re trying to optimize away. Reality Check: 💼 Strategic planning sessions = 0 breakthroughs 🧺 Loading the dishwasher = Our biggest wins Science confirms: • Your brain forms the strongest connections during rest • 90% of innovators report their best ideas outside the office • “Unfocus” increases creativity by 40% Think about it: ❌ Steve Jobs did laundry (Apple was born in his garage) ❌ Elon Musk showers (conceived Tesla’s battery tech there) ❌ Oprah walks (developed her biggest show ideas there) ❌ Your idol is probably doing dishes right now The most radical act in 2025? Not optimizing every moment. Not monetizing every hobby. Not finding meaning in every task. Just… being human. Because here’s what elite performers know: Constant meaning-making isn’t ambition. It’s avoidance. Your permission slip today: → Let tasks be boring → Let moments be average → Let yourself be unproductive → Let life feel meaningless sometimes The plot twist? When you stop trying to make everything significant… Significance finds you. 🎯 Your turn: What’s one “productivity rule” you’re proudly dropping this week? Sometimes the smartest thing you can do is absolutely nothing at all. 🧲 Don't get overtaken by those who deserve it less. Sometimes, the CRAZIEST decisions make MOST sense That's what everyone told me when I: • Found my life partner after committing to 10 dates in 10 days • Adopted a 5-year-old while raising toddler twins • Left my Partner role at Big Four to build something of my own • Flew to Ukraine during the war and founded Rise Ukraine For years,  I called it luck. I called it divine timing. I called it everything except what it really was: A decision-making framework that works. (Even when everyone else thinks you're crazy) Here's what I learned about life-changing decisions: 1. They feel impossible until they're done 2. They look risky to everyone except you 3. They're often made in moments of clarity, not comfort 4. They compound in ways you can't predict 5. They reveal strength you didn't know you had The craziest part? Once I understood the framework, I could teach it. And now, I want to share it with you. 🎯 How to Make the Best Career & Life Decisions — And Avoid Regret Free Live Masterclass with Misha Rubin (50 spots only!) 3 lethal mistakes that stall executive growth (and pay): → You’re not savvy in politics and miss real advocates → You overlook growth opportunities (others don’t) → You let others define your story and tell it for you 👉 The result? You’re praised, but not promoted. You feel stuck, but everything looks fine on the outside. And quietly, you start to wonder… “Is this all there is?” 👉 The truth? You’ve outgrown the version of you they still see. If you haven’t looked for a job in the past 10 years, you’re likely underestimating how brutal it can be. You start asking: → What are my options? → How do I talk about myself? → Where do I even look? → And how do I squeeze two decades into one page? But here’s the problem: Those aren’t even the right questions anymore. Most professionals, especially execs, make the same deadly assumption: “My experience will speak for itself.” It won’t. Not anymore. Here’s what’s really happening in 2025: ↳ 60–80% of senior roles are never posted ↳ The best opportunities go to the most visible, not the most qualified ↳ Companies don’t just hire experience—they hire positioning ↳ AI screens out even great candidates in seconds ↳ Your competition isn’t who you think it is And if you’re not clear, confident, and strategic? You’ll watch someone with half your background land the role you wanted. I see it every week: → A Managing Director with 20 years of experience gets ghosted → While someone with 8 years and sharp positioning gets the offer The jobs are out there. But getting them takes more than a résumé. It takes clarity. Visibility. Momentum. The truth? In this market, being qualified just gets you in the game. Being prepared is how you win it. And those who know how to position themselves? They’re the ones rising faster, negotiating stronger, and choosing their next move, while others are still waiting to be picked. Your career strategy is dead (3 signs savvy executives never miss): 83% of executives are beating dead horses. (Are you one of them?) They keep: • Working harder in the same role • Applying the same strategies • Hoping for different results Here's what elite leaders know: When the horse is dead, dismount. The Dead Horse Principle: "Your next level of success requires a different vehicle than the one that got you here." Most executives miss this. Instead, they try to revive the dead horse by: 1. Buying a stronger whip ↳ More certifications ↳ More courses ↳ More skills 2. Changing the rider ↳ New manager ↳ New department ↳ Lateral moves that lead nowhere 3. Forming a committee ↳ More mentors ↳ More networking ↳ More strategy sessions But here's the $200K truth: No amount of optimization revives a dead strategy. The power move? Learn to spot dead horses early, and know exactly what vehicle drives exponential growth. Here are 3 warning signs your strategy is dead: 1. Diminishing Returns ↳ More effort = same results ↳ Longer hours = less impact ↳ Growing frustration despite dedication 2. Invisible Ceiling ↳ Clear value, unclear path ↳ High performance, low visibility ↳ Stuck in implementation, not strategy 3. Market Misalignment ↳ Your skills solve yesterday's problems ↳ Your impact doesn't match future needs ↳ Decision-makers don't see your value The solution isn't working harder. It's working differently. 🔥 Elite Insight: Top performers don't just climb ladders. They build elevators. Ready to build your elevator? I created the Executive Playbook: 3 Hidden Moves to Unlock Your Next-Level Role Start here: https://lnkd.in/ecMEDHhH What dead horse are you still riding? Comment below! 7 signs you’re ready to level up your career (act before you lose momentum!): Before most execs say it out loud— the signs are already showing up. Here’s what I’ve seen after coaching 100+ executives through bold next steps: 1. The Goldilocks zone is gone. ↳ Your role feels too small ↳ Growth feels too slow Your comfort zone has become your warning zone. 2. You’re solving tomorrow’s problems. ↳ You see patterns others miss ↳ Your ideas scale beyond your title You’re operating above your current role. 3. The questions have changed. ↳ From “How do I do this?” to “Why do we do this?” ↳ You’re not just executing, you’re rethinking That’s a leadership mindset shift. 4. The shadow role ↳ People already treat you like a leader ↳ Your influence exceeds your job title You’re leading, whether it’s official or not. 5. The strategy shift ↳ Tactical work feels suffocating ↳ You’re drawn to broader, cross-functional impact You’ve outgrown your sandbox. 6. The value gap ↳ Your results outpace your compensation ↳ Your strengths are underutilized It’s not entitlement, it’s mismatch. 7. The internal knowing ↳ Restlessness is growing ↳ Staying feels more costly than leaving That’s not burnout. That’s readiness. Most people wait too long to act. They mistake safety for strategy. And comfort for fulfillment. If you’re seeing 3 or more of these signs, your next level isn’t a fantasy. It’s overdue. 12 years ago, I became a Partner at a Big 4. 13 leadership truths I wish I knew back then: 1. Your expertise is now a liability. ↳ Stop doing the work. Your job is to ask questions, not answer them. ↳ Aha Moment: If your hands are busy, your team’s brains are idle. 2. You’re the glue (or the gasoline). ↳ Your team’s wins and failures are your legacy. ↳ Question: What energy are you bringing today—calm or chaos? 3. Likability is overrated. ↳ That tough call you made? Half the team will hate it.  ↳ Script: “I’d rather lose your approval than the team’s respect." 4. Letting go is your superpower. ↳ Delegate what you love. Clinging to tasks? That’s selfish.  ↳ Analogy: You’re the coach, not the player. Bench yourself. 5. Your burnout is contagious. ↳ Your stress is a virus. Your calm is the antidote. ↳ Action: Cancel one meeting today. Protect your energy like it’s company stock. 6. Promotion = Breakup ↳ Your old work friends will gossip. Let them.  ↳ Harsh Truth: Lonely at the top? Build a board of mentors, not peers. 7. Your mistakes are louder. ↳ Miss a deadline? Now 10 people miss theirs.  ↳ Script:“I messed up. Here’s how I’ll fix it. Let’s talk.” 8. Conflict is your job now. ↳ Avoiding drama? You’re the drama. ↳ Question: What tension are you ignoring that’s killing trust? 9. Clarity > Consensus   ↳ The harder you try to please, the weaker you look. ↳ Aha Moment: If everyone’s happy, you’re babysitting—not leading.* 10. Lead in the fog. ↳ Waiting for 100% clarity? You’ll miss the moment. ↳ Analogy: Leadership is driving in fog—you won’t see the road until you move. 11. Silence = Invisible   ↳ Waiting for recognition? They’re waiting for you to ask.  ↳ Script: “I achieved X. I’m ready for Y. Let’s discuss my path by Friday.” 12. Your mood is a weapon. ↳ Stressed? Now the whole room is stressed.  ↳ Action: Name one emotion you’ll ban from your next meeting. 13. Growth feels like fear. ↳ That pit in your stomach? That’s not doubt—it’s evolution. ↳ Analogy: Leadership is a muscle. No pain, no gain. Your Next-Level Role could be closer than you think... 60% of your day is online. 90% of career-making moments happen offline: But here’s what top executives know: Leadership isn’t built in browsers. It’s built in rooms. Here are 5 “offline” skills that will be worth millions in 2025+: 1. Energy Reading ↳ Not just “reading the room” ↳ But shifting its energy ↳ The skill AI can’t replicate Example: My client (a COO) turned around a hostile board meeting in 7 minutes. Not with slides. With presence. ⸻ 2. Trust Acceleration ↳ Build in minutes what takes months online ↳ Use the “rapid trust” framework ↳ Make anxiety your ally Real talk: Every major deal I’ve seen still closes face-to-face. ⸻ 3. Collaborative Intelligence ↳ Not just working together ↳ But creating collective breakthroughs ↳ The art of “yes, and” leadership Truth: Zoom brainstorms will never match the energy of a room. ⸻ 4. Attention Mastery ↳ Hold focus in a scattered world ↳ Deep listening (beyond active) ↳ The power of sustained attention Fact: The average exec is interrupted every 3 minutes online. The best solutions need uninterrupted space. ⸻ 5. Presence Amplification ↳ Command any room ↳ Transform energy states ↳ Lead without words Here’s the edge: While everyone else is perfecting their Zoom presence—you master the real thing. Pro Tip: Schedule one offline hour daily. No screens. Just strategic conversations. Watch how quickly opportunities multiply. Because in a world obsessed with digital transformation, Human transformation is the real multiplier. ⸻ I created the Executive Playbook to help high performers grow faster and become impossible to overlook— without leaving their company, or their sanity behind. 👉 Start here: https://lnkd.in/eCZ58rvu ♻️ Repost to help others grow ➕ Follow me, Misha Rubin, for executive career strategies that actually work

Employees don’t leave jobs. They escape bad leadership How to create a workplace where people thrive: People wonder: Am I making an impact, or just filling a seat? A workplace that only “manages” instead of valuing you: • Reduces your work to tasks without meaning • Only sees your title without potential. • Criticizes without offering feedback. • Treats you as replaceable • Focuses on metrics, not meaning. —- Leaders, listen up: If you want engaged, motivated, and high-performing teams, create a workplace that: • Invests in growth, not just output. • Celebrates who each person is, not just what they do. • Listens to ideas instead of dismissing them. • Creates purpose beyond productivity. • Sees team members as true partners. When people feel valued, they give their best, and everyone wins. 🧲 Your Next-Level Role could be closer than you think... 🧲 Find out how with these 3 Secret Moves: https://lnkd.in/e-x3D6Yz — ♻️ Repost it to help others grow. ➕ Follow me, Misha Rubin, for executive career strategies that actually work.

Staying career stuck sucks. But not for the reason you think👇 It’s not that you hate your job. It’s that you don’t love who you’re becoming in it. And it starts quietly: • Mondays feel heavier • Your ideas stay unspoken • “Someday” becomes your favorite word • Safety feels more appealing than growth Here’s the hard truth: Staying stuck isn’t just a career choice. It’s a silent agreement to become less of yourself. But here’s the reframe that changed everything: You don’t need permission to imagine something better. You don’t need a plan to explore. You don’t need certainty to take one small step. Try this tomorrow: 1. Open your calendar 2. Block 30 minutes 3. Title it: Career Imagination Session Then ask yourself: • What would I try if failure weren’t a factor? • Which skills make me feel most alive? • Who’s doing work that makes me say, “I want more of that”? No pressure to act. No deadline to decide. Just space to wonder again. Because growth doesn’t start with action. It starts with imagination. The real cost of staying stuck isn’t time. It’s the slow fade of your curiosity. The quiet death of your “what ifs.” Break the silence. Start with imagination. Action will follow. 🧲 Start making best career & life decisions — and avoid regret https://lnkd.in/e2JeYi2u — ♻️ Repost it to help others grow. ➕ Follow me, Misha Rubin, for executive career strategies that actually work.
