I am a highly-skilled Control Systems & Instrumentation (C&I) Engineer with 17 years’ progressive experience that has culminated in senior-level positions which combine discipline expertise with leadership & business improvement. Whether it’s designing new safety systems, maintaining multi-million-dollar maintenance budgets, or leading the digital transformation for one of the world’s most complex energy projects – safety, value maximization & enhancing personnel capabilities are at heart. I am currently working as part of a world-class operations and engineering team with a focus on digital transformation & improving operational effectiveness for BP’s Shah Deniz 2 (SD2) assets in Azerbaijan, Georgia & Turkey comprising of offshore platforms, onshore processing facilities & subsea/pipeline infrastructure. Future-proofing instrumentation, controls & automation systems to meet operational demands now and in the future are of great interest to me. This is why I recently took on an additional role as part of a Task Force dedicated to removing all vulnerabilities from the gas-value chain to ensure smooth and reliable gas supply to Europe in 2021. As a Chartered Engineer (CEng), Engineering Council (UK) I also hold various other accreditations and qualifications from leading international industry bodies. I am currently undertaking a Human Factors Technical Specialist Certification with a focus on HFs application for digital transformation, cybersecurity, alarms management & functional safety. My experience in a diverse range of projects, assets and systems including ICSS, Electrical Topside & Subsea Controls, High-Integrity Pressure Protection (HIPPS), Operational Critical Telecoms (OCT) & Remote Intelligent Controls, just to name a few, places me as a strong asset to any operations or project team. Having been employed by BP since March 2012 (based in the UK & Azerbaijan), & having played a key role in the operational readiness, start-up, commissioning & operational phases of SD2, I am looking to secure a challenging role in operations, engineering or digital (including digital security).
