While in university, I participated in the selection process for a military pilot scholarship. Despite facing stiff competition from over 20 applicants, I was among the three individuals chosen for the program. During my time in the military, I completed 150 flying hours and acquired various qualifications, including a PPL license, a night rating, acrobatics training, and passing the ATPL exams.

In 2016, I joined the Slovenian Armed Forces and started training to become a military pilot.

After 3 years, I decided to walk away from what was supposed to be my dream job and start from scratch.

From 2019 to 2022, I worked in performance marketing, helping 20+ brands scale through paid ads and marketing strategy. 

For the past 2 years, I’ve been working behind the scenes as a ghostwriter, helping founders create LinkedIn content that reflects their expertise and positions them as authorities.

Outside of work, I’m into endurance sports. 7× Half Ironmans (and counting). It’s been a big part of my life, and it shaped how I approach everything.

I’d be lying if I said I’m not nervous.

What’s so appealing about these endurance events is the search for your limit.

To see how far you can push yourself and what your body and mind are capable of.

And it's a never-ending cycle of improvement.

After working mostly in/with early-stage businesses (how they go from 0 to bigger team & 7+ fig ARR), I see similarities with those founders.

Everyone who’s built something cool is obsessed and consistent af. They show up, day in and day out.

That’s what I like to do too, just in my own way. For me, that means endurance sports.

I’m grateful I get to do it.

Being a content strategist gives me the flexibility to incorporate these things into my daily life. 

Not as “if I have time over the weekend,” but in the same way someone else takes time for kids, family, or whatever they value most.

This doesn’t mean I work less. 

It means I work more efficiently so I can make space for what matters. But it also means being strict with your time, how you structure your days, what you say no to, and what you choose to focus on.

A full Ironman has always been one of those things I felt I needed to do at least once.

In a week, I finally get to stand on that start line and see what I’ve got. I know it won’t be easy.

What do you like the most?

Problem can't be solved if you don't see it.

Everyone around you can point it out, but until you see it with your eyes, you won’t do anything about it.

Even when people tell you what’s wrong, you won't act until you become fully aware of it.

Sometimes, you get so used to living with a problem that you no longer recognize it as one. 

The more you understand how the problem affects you and how it feels, the more likely you will act on it.

The only thing to be careful of is considering which problem to solve.

Those who sell solutions (every business does) want to bring awareness to people's problems.

Everyone needs to make $.

But it's good to be self-aware enough to distinguish between having a problem and not having it.

You can buy into solutions for the problems that in reality you don't have.

Awareness of the problem on one side.

Self-awareness on the other.

The no. 1 principle I have when writing personal content for clients so they don’t weaken their positioning:

Think through the lens of their expertise.

This means:

1. Link your story to one of your pillars.
2. Share how your experiences shaped your approach.
3. Give a takeaway that your audience relates to.
4. Share how your journey gives you a different angle.
5. Share personal philosophy (relevant) to add depth.

When you link a personal story to your core message, it does 2 things:

1. It makes your content feel human and relatable.
2. It reinforces why people should pay attention to you

If you share personal stuff without connecting it to what you do, it confuses your audience & dilutes your presence, if you tie it back, it strengthens it.

The biggest challenge in creating content is shortening the gap between getting people's attention and their understanding of your value, what you do, and why you.

Without that, you lose a chance to deliver because you don't get clients/customers in the first place.

The problem of working all the time on and in your business is that you may start speaking a language only you understand. 

You know your business better than anyone else, but you can't assume others understand it too.

I create 3-5 high-quality posts/day for clients.

One of the most important aspects is the ability the ask the right questions on calls with founders.

If you ask surface-level questions, you get surface-level content (and nobody likes that).

This is the process I use:

1) Core pillars

I look at the founder’s core pillars, their expertise, philosophy, and the areas where they bring a unique perspective. This also includes some personal stories, which I tie back to their core message/what they do for their clients. So when I ask these questions, I already have a post structure in mind.

2) Trending industry topics

Sometimes I noticed content on my feed that performs well. If it's inside one of the client industries, I prepare the questions around this topic. I ask for their opinion, real-life experience around it, etc. This works because the topic is already validated.

3) Pain points/objections

I pick some of the pain points and build questions around them. I dig into why the problem happens, what the consequences are, and what misconceptions their ideal customer has. Once that’s clear, it’s easy to bridge into the company’s solution.

So if you are creating content yourself, you need a solid content strategy, ask yourself the right questions, and know a little bit of copywriting.

This way, you don't need to rely on inspiration to spark by itself; you spark it with the right questions.
