Freelance Marketing Consultant

Midwest Stitch

I helped businesses and organization with a custom apparel solutions. My goal was to understand their needs and create a quality apparel solution.  

In this position I also oversaw business projects involving research and implementation.  Some of these included website development, blog articles and social media management.

Sales Professional

Often customers first point of contact.  Supported multiple sales reps.  Logged, and tracked orders from start to completion and invoicing.  Used Microsoft Office extensively to perform office tasks, create forms, customer flyers, and more.

Customer Service/Sales/Office Support

Rockford Register Star

Special project management including converting sister paper's (Freeport Journal Standard) classified advertising front-end system.  Department liaison to ensure customer pricing matched agreed contracts.  System support - including research and coordinate resolution of rating and system issues.  Responsible for reducing billing errors and therefore reduce loss of revenue.

Advertising Sales Support

Supervised group of 10-13 inside sales staff. Was responsible for annual performance reviews, hiring of new staff, summer temps, etc as well as conducting weekly training and providing motivation to reach sales goals. Performed market research to suggest & implement new sales packages.  In this position also oversaw the conversion of entire Classified Advertising computer system (from SII to AdVisor). This project management involved collaborating with multiple internal departments as well as third party vendor to program out of box system to sync with all internal programs.

Classified Sales Supervisor

Tested, improved and implemented a beta advertising system (Celebro).  Also dealt with automotive dealers to acquire inventory photos and help advertise on Cars.com.  Served as a backup to the newspaper page layout person who paginated all print products for Rockford Register Star.

Advertising Technology Administrator

Handled inbound calls to help customers create effective Classified advertisements.  Worked to reach monthly sales goals.  Assisted Classified Supervisor with various office responsibilities.  Created spreadsheets for tasks previously done manually, including tracking sales numbers, incoming calls and figuring commissions.

As a figure-it-out kind of person I've always enjoyed finding solutions and bringing people together to make them work.
