While doing my internship at LM Solar, I discovered how a new business works. I developed many skills such as communication and fast thinking, indeed I was charged to explain to the prospect and clients how the switch to solar energy would be beneficial for them. To do that I had to adapt to each of them and focus on their specific situation. I developed a financial model to track their savings, the profitability of the project and the lesser impact on the environment they have. During those situations you can be very easily challenged and need therefore to provide answers because if you don't you may lose the deal. It's in this context that I understood the importance of coming prepared, being critical in your own work so that you've already been through the potential questions that could arise during an interview which will make you ready to provide the information and explanations needed.

I started my agency 3 months ago, it’s time for Q1 report (I know I am a week late):

1) Numbers (y’all love that)

Revenue: €12,800
Number of clients: 5
Number of offers: 2
Satisfaction rate: 100%
Deals still in the pipe: 5

Churn rate so far on recurring clients: 0% 

I overestimated how much I could do in 3 months.

I underestimated how fast 3 months would pass by…

Build in public W11: I crossed €5,000 in MRR without sending 1 outbound message in 6weeks. 

When I decided to launch my agency, I took 1 week to:

→ Design my roadmap for the next 6 months
→ Choose clear phases to follow for each month

1) Phase 1: 8 January → 8 February

Acquisition + Visibility.

I wrote a viral launch post (50,000 views + a dozen inbound leads)

I wrote 7-10 posts per week for 1 month. 

I reached out to 10-15 people/day with my intentional setting framework. 

(+45% reply rate after the first message)

At the end of Phase 1 I: 

- Sent 3 quotes
- Closed a first client
- Had next meetings scheduled with 7 prospects

2) Phase 2: 8 February → 8 Mars

Over-delivering clients and standardizing the offer: 

- Creation of my systems
- Documenting my approach
- Listing tasks I can already delegate

I closed 2 clients in this phase. 

3) Phase 3: 8 Mars → 9 Avril 

Introspection and data (all my calls) interpretation.

Without anyone noticing, OpenAI released ‘Version History’ for the GPTs.

A new feature to make the UX seamless.

My prompts are composed of different sections.

Each time to find the perfect one, I:

- Change the instruction section
- Change the contextual section
- Change the remember section
- Change the personification section

And as I A/B test them, I kept the previous versions on a notion table.

This was time-consuming and frustrating.

I can finally be more aggressive in my trials.

As a power user this is game changer.

I strongly disagree with the ‘AI will make us dumber’ narrative. On the contrary, I think we’ll experience an upward leveling.

1) The printing press allowed knowledge to spread

2) Calculators and computers augmented mathematical abilities

3) Internet and search engines exponentially increased the access to information

Technology is an enabler. 

AI is making obsolete the reliance on primary skills, and that’s a double-edged sword: 

→ Learn more, do more, become more.
→ Learn less, do less, become less. 

The choice is ours. 

Become augmented (I am not talking of a brain chip here) 

Become dumber (we don’t need AI for that: mindless scrolling)

AI will exaggerate existing character traits. Don’t blame the tool.  

Personally, I do more, better, and in less time with AI. 

Yes, over-dependence is risky. That’s why we must find balance. 

Being able to conduct research with AI in 2 seconds and also being able to sit down for 2 hours to read a book must be a norm. 

What do you think about this?

I’ve been experiencing something with 2 of the CEOs I am working with about acquisition.

To give you some context, I have a done-for-you LinkedIn acquisition offer where I:

In what business stage am I? 

Stages are phases, and each needs a different approach:

Phase 1: Distribution and validation
↳ You have an offer and need data

Phase 2: Delivery and standardization
↳ You have 1-2 clients and need systems

Phase 3: Scaling and outsourcing
↳ You go all in on sales and scale your time

People don’t like introspection, it points toward their flaws.

At that time, I knew I was in phase 1, so I: 

1) Optimized my profile to my offer at the time
2) Wrote a viral post on LinkedIn to get traction
3) Softly pushed my offer in that post
4) Standardized a concrete use case with tangible KPIs

This preparation and coherence made me book 20 calls in the first week of my launch. 

12 days later, I closed a first client (€2,500). I didn’t think this was possible until I did it.

PS: In what business stage are you?

Little intrusive though I’ve been trying to chase away about acquisition:

If your ICP is not problem aware just forget about volume outreach.

You’re just gonna burn yourself.

They don’t care about:

- The recent post they liked
- The color of their landing page
- The birthday of their little doggo

So don’t personalize massive campaigns with useless variables.

Look for buying intent.

If you can’t find it, sell the transformation.
