Different stakeholders, different buzzwords - same bullish optimism

All in all, the DAF was a very good event. The 'less hoodies to suits' ratio certainly gave me a much deeper appreciation of the challenges many institutional participants face. 

Below are some takeaways: 

👉 Enhancements in capital infra to fast-track mainstream vault adoption. 
Attendees were generally bullish about RWA strategies and curated vault investment products.

👉 Too many new stablecoin issuers popping up. Institutions need more frameworks that evaluate them in order to mitigate risk.

👉 Irish regulation re. fund tokenization criticized - golden opportunity for Ireland if they follow Luxembourg's example

👉 Lot of love for Canton's institutional-grade privacy

👉 More and more hedge funds will ape into Bitcoin. Institutions see Ethereum as 'the place' for stablecoin liquidity. To many surprise, I barely heard Solana mentioned across the two days. 

👉 Quote of the week: "Every regulation is a business opportunity. There's no such thing as overregulation".

👉 Many institutional players are faced with the classic 'innovator's dilemma' scenario - be early and adopt the rails or face a lot of short term headaches. Regulatory and operational ambiguity across the digital asset ecosystem were discussed at length. 

👉 Lots of interesting conversations were had e.g should smart contracts play a custodial role?! should Coinbase launch their own stablecoin? Is Tempo under/overvalued at $5billion? Crowley or Prendergast at No.10? etc. 

👉 Top marks to Diego Borgo and Daniel Cushing who delivered a branding masterclass There, they explored various strategies and case studies on how to stand out in a crowded market and in turn, how you create a category within a category. Highly recommend you watch it on Youtube when uploaded. 

👉 Many institutional players are faced with the classic 'innovator's dilemma' scenario - be early and adopt the rails or face a lot of short term headaches. Regulatory and operational ambiguity across the digital asset ecosystem were discussed at length.

👉 VCs are warming to quantum narratives 

👉 Why on earth would you launch a token right now!!

👉 AI agents will be stablecoin native. Some of the 'crypto natives' present seemed excited about ERC8004.

👉 London side events rock - special thanks to Bybit/Komainu and Nexus Mutual/ @Native for two great side events.

Recruitment Fees:

All permanent placements
• 10% of each hire’s agreed annual base salary

All fixed-term placements greater than 1 year in duration
• 10% of each hire’s agreed annual base salary

All fixed-term placements less than 1 year in duration
• 20% of each hire's total base salary

We will never charge a candidate a fee for our services.

If a Candidate terminates, or the Client terminates, any engagement, within 4 weeks of the specified start date, no fee will be charged to the Client in respect to that Candidate.

If those 4 weeks have passed and a Candidate terminates, or the Client terminates any engagement, up to 8 weeks of the specified start date upon which such Candidate commenced work for the Client and provided that a) the Client notifies the Company in writing of the termination of engagement within 7 days and b) the Client (or related company) does not engage the Candidate within 12 months from the date of termination and c) the termination is not due to redundancy and d) any monies due from the Client have been paid in accordance with these terms of business, then the Company will make every endeavour to seek a replacement (to remuneration up to the same value as the leaver) at no extra cost to the Client
