When I 1st started running in 2005, it was to lose some extra weight. I started running in 2005 with my first 10-kilometer race, and slowly trained my way to my first marathon a couple years later. Once I had hit the pinnacle of achievements for runners, I transitioned into triathlons, starting with a Try-Tri distance, and again working my way up (over several years) to a full Ironman. 🏆An Ironman race consists of a 4-kilometer swim, a 180-kilometer bike and a 42.2-kilometer run. I can tell you from experience that finishing a race such as this requires a lot of planning, training, dedication, and support. Even though I would lose some weight with all the miles and cardio I was doing, I would still gain the weight back as soon as I stopped running after hitting my goal race. I love to run; however, I know it’s not for everyone. 🏋️♂️Until recently, I just kept repeating the process.
