As a teenager I had a small "cube" TV in my bedroom - a Christmas gift from my grandparents. It was a great little TV set but only had one speaker which just didn't quite hit the spot when I was watching films, this was before surround sound was invented. So, I set out on a challenge to connect my hi-fi with impressive sound system to the TV. BINGO! Putting on a John Woo film - Broken Arrow, I sat back and thought now I'm living! This instilled in me the energy to look outside the box for solutions to problems that I face, which is still my way of working today. Always working through problems, both personally and professionally, with a smile and determination. A positive "can do" approach always results in resolving the challenges faced. This is especially useful when on the hockey pitch. Having been part of a local team for over 15 years, I have made some lifelong friends from all walks of life, diversifying my communications skills to be communications officer for the club. This supported my job within international companies; to keep all parties onboard and informed with clear communication around technology, decoding the alien language. Whether at home as a Dad, a hockey club member or the CEO of 18iT, I bring together my geekiness for technology coupled with my ability to communicate, enabling me to support others to overcome challenges.
