A highly skilled and charismatic leader in aviation management. I strive for the highest levels of performance from both myself and my reports. I believe happiness, trust and honesty are critical to being able to create and sustain a high performing team. I have deep knowledge of both legacy and contemporary air traffic systems and the capable and adaptable profile to ensure that whilst my more recent roles are no longer at the “sharp end” that I maintain the awareness that vital systems remain consistently available through quality work in all areas of the business. Embedding change is important to me. I understand and believe that it’s simply not good enough to have a great system design, it has to be implemented with the same consistent and diligent approach. I believe that stakeholder engagement and a user centred focus is crucial to delivery. Good change management doesn’t end when the project completes but continues in service to ensure requirements are met and sustained. A committed lifelong learner I recently completed an Open University BSc (Hons) STEM and am focused on ensuring I integrate the study with my work to develop high quality approaches to complexed engineering management. My intention is to progress to a PhD and use my varied career to give back to the engineering and aviation community. Always happy to hear from like-minded professionals!
