In 2008, my life took an unexpected turn. What started as a setback became the beginning of a new journey. Up until that point, I was firmly on the Wall Street path. I’d built a career in equity and derivatives research and strategy, where everything was driven by numbers, analysis, and finding the next big trade. But then, the financial crisis hit, and suddenly, everything I’d known was shaken. The layoff was a setback, but it also gave me the chance to step back and ask myself: what do I really want to do? That’s when I found digital marketing. I was instantly drawn to the idea of reaching people directly, driving real/tangible results, and using data creatively to connect with audiences. So, I took the plunge. I started partnering with financial service companies, diving into lead generation, content strategy, and campaign management. It was a whole new world, but it felt right. Fast forward to today: Now, I’m the VP of Marketing for Mesa Garage Doors—a leading home services company in Southern California. In this role, I’ve been able to apply everything I’ve learned and deliver some meaningful results including: • Lowered PPC cost-per-acquisition by over 52% • Increased service-related revenue by 31% • Developed and optimized new, profitable marketing channels from scratch • Launched TV campaigns on network and cable channels • Produced long-form infomercial content that drives engagement • Secured a high-profile branding partnership with the LA Clippers • Achieved top 3 SERP rankings for key search terms • Led the ServiceTitan CRM implementation to streamline operations But more than the numbers, I’ve learned the value of brand building, creating trust and connection that lasts beyond a single transaction. What Drives Me Now? My mission today is to help service-based businesses attract leads, create powerful partnerships, build brand awareness, and increase profitability.
