As a Content Marketing Editor in the Expert Network team and look after content marketing materials produced by and for Expert Network authors and their titles. I am responsible for a portfolio of content marketing assets for each title, liaising with Producers, Technical Editors, and the wider EN team, and individual authors and technical reviewers as necessary. I am also responsible for liaising with other teams in the business to make appropriate marketing content available, on a title by title basis, as requirements arise, and sourcing further material where there are gaps.

- Create a repository of content marketing assets for each title, visible and available to other stakeholders
- Maintain and develop further content marketing assets as required in support of the individual title marketing for each EN author
- Ensure the completeness, accuracy, and availability of all promotional title information and materials for Expert Network titles.

Responsibilities:

I work with the Producer and Technical Editor of a title, and other team stakeholders, to pre-emptively produce or curate the following assets for each title across the lifecycle of the project:

- Content articles for the Hub and other partner channels in phases right from pre-pub to post-pub.
- Generate podcasts for authors to talk about the topic and promote the book.
- Providing a suggested social content plan across Expert Network titles, for integration and execution by the Packt social team
- An early pre-release extract, a “sneak preview” in the month before launch, and a highly shareable article immediately post-launch.
- An article based on an author interview with questions provided by the editor.
- The content and images for an Amazon A+ page, based on the author interview.

- Primary and secondary research on new development in the field of tech
- Getting insights from an industry expert on your projects to give an edge and value to your project making it unique
- Preparing questionnaires for the authors and the clients on our product line
- In-depth market forecasting and analysis of various sectors
- Creating roadmaps while working closely with multiple stakeholders on different projects in accordance with the TAT
- Prepared market engineering sheets at regular intervals that help you visualize complex data via MS Office Tools

There’s a big gap between talking about AI agents and building one that doesn’t break. What do you think? Here are some steps that can help along with some tools that might be helpful --

I’ve broken it down into 13 practical steps from defining your idea to deploying it live so you can actually build an AI agent that works end-to-end.

No noise, no jargon, no magic. Just the process.

Here’s what the visual covers:

1. Define the use case.
Be clear on what problem your agent will solve — support, content generation, analytics, or something else. The sharper the goal, the better the agent.

2. Prep your data.
Use Pandas, Airbyte, or Databricks to clean, format, and structure datasets. Most agents fail not because of the model, but because of messy data.

3. Pick your LLM carefully.
GPT-4, Claude, Gemini, Llama it’s not about size, it’s about fit. Choose based on your latency, context needs, and cost.

4. Embed and vectorize.
Tools like FAISS, Chroma, or Weaviate make your data searchable and ready for reasoning. This is where retrieval gets real.

5–8. Build, refine, deploy.
Prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and interface design come next. Use LangChain, Streamlit, or Vercel depending on your workflow.

9–13. Test, monitor, improve.
AI agents are living systems. Use Grafana, Datadog, or Mixpanel to monitor performance and refine continuously.

Turn agent creation from a “black box” into a repeatable process that anyone on your team can understand.

Breaking: Momentum from Partner Summit and NVIDIA GTC lands in Melbourne. I just heard some great announcements at Cisco Live APJC!!!! 

Over the last two months we saw Cisco outline a clear path for AI ready infrastructure. Unified Edge, stronger ties with NVIDIA, and a focus on secure, observable operations. #CiscoLiveAPJC kept that momentum going and made it practical for the region.

At Melbourne the spotlight was on AI Ready Infrastructure and new findings from the 2025 AI Readiness Index and the AI Readiness Hub. Here is what stood out and why it matters.

What the data says

• Pacesetters solve power first. 96% have dedicated power infrastructure. In APJC that number is 45%.
• Pacesetters build security as infrastructure from day one. 84% use end to end encryption and monitoring. In APJC it is 31%.
• 84% of APJC organizations plan to deploy AI agents. Only 31% can secure them today.

My take
If you want agents in production, start with the boring parts that decide scale. Power planning. Network design. Encryption and monitoring as defaults. Then instrument for day two so you can observe, optimize, and retrain. The gap in APJC is not intent. It is readiness.

Proof points are already visible across the region. Venue scale wireless like Singapore Sports Hub shows how the edge must evolve for real users. The same pattern applies to campuses, factories, and branches that plan to run AI at the edge.

I’m here at Microsoft Ignite!!!! Excited to cover every announcement on ground. Before the big keynotes, I sat down with Shireesh Thota, VP of Azure Databases at Microsoft, for an exclusive conversation that sets the stage for what’s coming.

Most companies think they have a backup problem. What they really have is a recovery problem. I spent the day at Commvault SHIFT, on the ground talking to customers, partners and the Commvault team. I also spoke with Darren Thomson, Field CTO at Commvault, for a focused chat on what they announced and what it means in the middle of real attacks and real pressure on IT teams.

In the interview, we got into:

-- The new Unity Platform and why Commvault is trying to bring data security, data access, identity patterns and cyber recovery into one view
-- How they are thinking about very fast, clean recovery after an attack, not just “we have backups somewhere”
-- Cloud Native Protection and what that actually changes for existing customers and large enterprises already deep into the cloud
-- Identity Resilience and why identity is now part of the data security story, not a separate topic
-- Synthetic Recovery and how they use ML signals from anomalies, entropy, threat scans and third-party tools to compose a clean state across multiple backup points

WOW!!!! Two prompts. That is all it took to convince me Genspark is on to something big. Genspark is a roughly 30 person team that reached a one billion $$$$ valuation in just six months. This week at AWS re:Invent. I got a chance to visit one of my favourite database companies, MongoDB. I got a VIP Tour of the booth, and it was great to see how fast they are innovating. I got a chance to look at their, MongoDB Atlas on AWS, Voyage AI, Intelligent Agent Memory and much more!!!! 

It was also great to see build gen AI-powered apps with Atlas and AWS. Super excited to follow MongoDB and how it's catering to enterprises and developers.

Resilience is a design choice, not a lucky break. Two reads worth your time from Cloudera on a theme that matters right now: keeping data and critical services available when things go wrong.

First, architecting for data resilience and business continuity. The core idea is to design for disruption. Build clean failover paths. Keep data portable across on-prem, edge, and cloud. Test recovery, do not assume it. When incidents happen, the difference between minutes and hours shows up in revenue, trust, and compliance.

Second, why hybrid needs multi-cloud resilience. Outages are inevitable. Single-cloud dependencies turn into single points of failure. A consistent platform across environments lets teams move workloads where they can run, without big rewrites. Governance and controls must travel with the data so handoffs stay compliant and auditable.

Why this matters:
- Incidents are normal. Downtime should not be.
- Portability gives you options under pressure.
- Practiced recovery beats theoretical plans.
- Consistent governance speeds safe failover.

Practical next steps:
- Map tier-1 workloads and their failover targets.
- Define RTO and RPO you can actually meet.
- Run recovery drills and measure the results.
- Reduce hard vendor lock-ins where they hurt resilience.

Day 4 at AWS re:Invent a quick chat with Sandhya Edupuganti Head of Engineering, SageMaker Catalog/ Datazone. She has been at Amazon for 18 years, and it shows in how clearly she connects data, governance, and real customer problems.

We spoke about the new data notebook experience in SageMaker, the AI assistance in the catalog that can auto classify data and enrich column metadata, and why lineage and governance are now front and center for customers rather than an afterthought.

Most companies say they are “doing AI.” Very few are actually ready for it. In my new episode of The Ravit Show, I sat down with Simon Miceli, Managing Director, Cisco, who leads Cloud and AI Infrastructure across Asia Pacific, Japan, and Greater China. He sits right where big AI ambitions meet the hard reality of networks, security, and technical debt.

This conversation builds on my earlier episode with Jeetu Patel, President and CPO Cisco and goes deeper into what it really takes to get AI working in production in APJC.

Here are a few themes we unpacked:

-- Only a small group is truly AI ready
- Cisco’s latest AI Readiness Index shows that just a small percentage of organizations globally are able to turn AI into real business value. Cisco calls them “Pacesetters.”
- They are not just running pilots. They have use cases in production and are seeing returns.

-- We are entering the agentic phase of AI
- Simon talked about how we are moving from simple chatbots to AI agents that can take action.
- That shift changes everything for infrastructure.
- Instead of short bursts of activity, you now have systems that are always working in the background, automating processes and touching real operations.

-- AI infrastructure debt is the new technical debt*
- Many organizations are carrying years of compromises in their networks, data centers, and security.
- Simon called this “AI infrastructure debt” and described how it quietly slows down innovation, increases costs, and makes it harder to scale AI safely.

-- Network as a foundation, not an afterthought
- One of his strongest points: leaders often think first about compute, but the companies that are ahead treat the network as the base layer for AI.
- When workloads double, your network can become the bottleneck before your GPUs do.
 - The Pacesetters are already investing to make their networks “AI ready” and integrating AI deeply with both network and cloud.

Three things leaders must fix in the next 2–3 years

Simon shared a very clear checklist for CIOs and business leaders who are serious about agentic AI:

 1. Solve for power before it becomes a constraint
 2. Treat deployment as day one and keep optimizing models after they go live
 3. Build security into the infrastructure from the start so it accelerates innovation instead of blocking it

This was a very honest, no-nonsense view of where APJC really stands on AI, and what the leading organizations are doing differently!!!!

At Microsoft Ignite, I sat down with the one and only Jay Parikh, Executive VP, Microsoft, to understand how Microsoft is actually building the full foundation for enterprise grade agents, not just talking about it.

AI pilots are not the story anymore. The real story is who can turn AI into everyday, reliable work. Here at AWS re:Invent, I had the chance to sit down with Arvind Jain, Founder and CEO of Glean, for a conversation I have wanted to do for a long time!!!!

We spoke about why so many enterprises are stuck in pilot mode and what actually has to change for AI to move from experiments to real impact on how people work. 

Arvind went deep on why enterprise context is still missing in most AI projects and what it looks like in practice when you finally get that piece right.

We also talked about what CIOs and CTOs are really worried about this week at re:Invent. Not the buzzwords, but the hard problems around adoption, scale, and the misconceptions that keep slowing teams down!

Since so many organizations here already run on AWS, I asked Arvind how the Glean and AWS partnership shows up in the real world.

Live from Microsoft Ignite 2025 at Chase Center in San Francisco attending with 20,000 people. I am here on the ground as a Creator covering the keynote!!!! Here is what stood out for me from day one -- 

-- Copilot and agents everywhere -- 
Microsoft is moving from single copilots to fleets of agents that help teams get real work done. Work IQ sits behind Microsoft 365 and learns how your company works so agents are not blind. Agent 365 acts like a control plane so you can see every agent, what it can access and how it behaves. The message is simple. Companies will be human led and agent operated.

-- Data platforms built for agents -- 
On the Azure and data side the focus is on making every dataset ready for agents. Fabric IQ helps organize data by business concepts so humans and agents can ask better questions. 

New databases like HorizonDB and DocumentDB aim to bring more performance, scale and AI friendly features to PostgreSQL, NoSQL and SQL workloads. SAP data can now flow into Fabric with less friction. The pattern is clear. If your data is slow or siloed your agents will be weak.

-- Windows and security for the agent era -- 
Windows is turning into an operating system for people and agents. Native agent infrastructure and Windows 365 for Agents let agents run on secure Cloud PCs and on your device with the right controls. 

-- On the security side, Microsoft Purview extends data protection, DLP and risk management to agents so security teams do not lose visibility when usage explodes.

Why this matters -- 
If you lead data, AI or infrastructure, this is the shift to watch. The question is no longer “Do we have Copilot” It is “Can we stand up safe, reliable agents on top of clean data and governed platforms”
