I am a technology and business lawyer, recently relocated back to Hong Kong after 15 years in mainland China as a partner of several global international law firms. I have a wealth of experience helping clients on cross-border mergers/acquisitions of existing businesses and formation of new ones. These days, many of my clients are emerging technology businesses -- or their founders or investors – engaged in e-commerce or bespoke services at the intersection of technology and commerce (e.g.: fintech, regtech, edtech and logisticstech). I also serve internationally renowned artists, authors, photographers, art galleries, charitable foundations, and family offices. Since early 2023, I have served as mentor to several companies being incubated at the HKSTP where I occasionally give lectures on legal issues for startups and SMEs. I am licensed to practice law in Hong Kong and I'm on the Roll of Solicitors in England and Wales. I've become an ardent advocate of efforts to modernize legal practices and no longer sell my time. Instead, I offer my expertise to clients, usually on a fixed or capped fee basis.
