From my first job out of college to my most recent Chief Revenue Officer role, the mantra “It’s not what you know but who you know” has guided my career. In a career that spans 30+ years, I have never mindlessly applied to a position. Instead, I jumped out of line, thumbed through the course catalog, and registered to be a Computer Science major. I had no idea what I wanted to do, but I felt computer science would offer me more options. That same gut instinct has led me through many career pivots. I’ve held many titles, including Software Engineer, Product Owner, Technical Manager, Business Development Manager, Founder, Senior Technical Leader, Mom, and Wife.
