1) I own an M&A advisory firm, Sierra Pacific Partners, and an M&A and corporate law firm, Weavil Law.* I started them to bring large-cap service to middle market clients. 2) I am a navigator and an advocate. I position engagements to best achieve their goals. The client does the hard work in the business, and I help tell their story, steer the course, and avoid pitfalls in transactions. 3) Don't tell anyone, but I'd do transactional work for free. Working on deals is my passion. 4) I’m originally from North Carolina. I live in Lake Tahoe and love the outdoors. I've climbed Denali unguided, ice climbed across the West, and love to backcountry ski, but I don't like being cold. I’m also afraid of heights. Maybe I need some new hobbies? *Because I get the question a lot, particularly from lawyers and other M&A advisors, Sierra Pacific Partners and Weavil Law are separate, and we do not serve in both roles on the same transaction (for example, if Sierra Pacific Partners advises on an M&A transaction, we bring in a trusted law firm on the deal team to handle the legal).
